I spend a lot of time at home during the week, but one or two night during that week I go out with friends without her. She thinks this is belittling to her and I feel like she is controlling my abilities to make my own decisions. The weekends I try and plan events for both of us and then one or two with our individual friends. We're young and couple activities aren't readily available just yet...I'm not sure what I'm into.

Is it better to have a big wedding and invite the entire Indinapolis Colts team or a small wedding and invite the LA Galaxy. My fiance wants to invite our family, but I am uncomforatable around them because they don't speak english.

I asked a question earlier about a friend who stated so kids on invitation to wedding and most people misinterpeted it to mean that I didnt understand why some people dont want kids at weddings. I competely understand and if I didnt have kids or have many realitives coming from out of town that have kids and cant leave them back at home by themselves I would probably do the same. Anyways, my question now is: Would you be offended or upset if you were having a wedding where kids werent invited and your good friend couldnt make it because she couldnt find daycare? What if that person was in the brial party?

We have a guest list of 82, the ceremony is being held on the balcony of a tea room in a state park, and the reception will be inside. There will be no room to dance. I was kind of thinking we'd come in from the ceremony and eat and chat. The groom and I will mingle of course. I have love songs on cds to play in the background.

My question is should I plan some sort of activities? I keep seeing people ask questions about what activities they should have and such. Do we owe our guests some form of entertainment? We only expect them to stay for 2-3 hours.

We're trying to keep this a low-key affair, so if so, any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have recently began thinking that I might need more time. Is there a way to ease the fallout w/ both sets of families, and more importantly my fiance? We have talked about it and the conversation always results in her crying. What can I do?

Yesterday I got a invitation to a friends wedding and they requested no children. My fiance and I have a 9 year old daughter and a 20 month old son. Im a little offended because when planning my wedding the girlfriend of the guy who is our friend (the couple thats getting married) told us she wont come to our wedding if she cant bring her kids... which was odd becasue we never mentioned no kids at our wedding since we have two kids that will be there and we both think kids should be allowed at weddings because they just as important in families as adults. I dont want to go to their wedding but my fiance says we should try to get a babysitter and go. What would you do?

I want BOLD colors for my wedding, but I am SOOO indecisive. What are some great color combos? Anything but pastel colors!

I like the whole marroon/black/white combo, the orange/pink combo, and maybe a dark red/gold combo.. any more ideas? I would love something that incorporated green, but I cant think of anything. I want to have colors that are 'energetic' and fun. All advice will be greatly appreciated.

And everyone wants to know what it matters if it is fake, that it is a symbol of his love and why I am being materialistic? I am not being materialistic, I just hope that he isn't trying to pull a fast one on me by thinking I would never find out. If he buys a fake ring, does that mean his love is fake also?

I'm looking for ideas other than clicking glasses, ringing bells, singing songs. I want something very unique and wondering if anyone has done or seen something that they would be willing to share.

I have been engaged for 9 months to a man that I have been with for 11 years. He bought me an engagement ring online and I was under the impression it was real. Apparently so was he. But to make make things worse, my sister found out about it before I did since I had her take it in to be cleaned and the jeweler told her it was not real, so my whole family knows. How do I deal with this?

In Massachusetts, that is. I don't know if the rates change across the country. I'd like to know before talking to anyone so that I can tell him that his rates are awful. Thanks!

I have been with my bf for over 6 years. Last year we were planning our wedding but I stopped the planning becuase I got tired of everyone telling me how I should do things. I could not bear to tell my friends and family how fed up I was getting.

Since then we have talked about just eloping in Vegas. We have been there many times and love it, so it just seems right. But we want our parents at our wedding and mine nor his are willing to fly or make the long drive.

We also do not want to invite friends as it becomes a "You invited so-and-so but not me" deal. So if we did, we would basically just up and go without telling anyone.

I hate to hurt anyone's feelings. And I do want a reception or a party or something to *celebrate* afterwards. What would you do: have a normal wedding at home or elope in Vegas??

To put things shortly, to her, I am unworthy. Unworthy of her respect or toleration. She doesn't support the wedding and I don't want to invite her. But she is my Fiance's mother, and I know I could never get married without my mom being there! (of course my mom LOVES my fiance and is actually paying for EVERYTHING) My big concern is what she will wear. We all just went to a friends wedding and she showed up in ratty sweatpants and a sweatshirt. This will not fly at our formal wedding, and I do not want this in our pictures. I have tried to tell my fiance to talk to her, but he grew up the only boy with no communication skills. They don't talk aout feelings PERIOD in that home. I have tried to be nice. I asked him just to find out her size and I would search the internet for her, nice elegant pant suits. (She grew up country and she's probably about a size 32) I don't know what else I can do other than help look for her. Left up to her she would come in those sweatpants. What can I do?

I've had a couple rocky relationships. I have since found the man of my dreams, love of my life. We have had some rocky times, I feel they are much more important the he. We have since become engaged and are planning an amazing time together getting married. Is there a way to stop wondering if things are still happening behind my back?

Okay, I got a goal set on myself. I want to loose 30 pounds by July 12th. That's a pound a week for the next 7 months. Can I do this by eating 3 small meals a day, 3 snacks, drinking lots of water, and cutting out tea? Oh, and exercising? Any other ideas?
