I have never heard of there being any set "activities" for such a time, so anything you come up with will be acceptable. One thing that comes to mind, since it's at your parents' home, is (and you'd have to do all the "prep" work on this ahead of time and just have it ready for placement) you and your fiance could buy your parents a rose bush to commemorate this event and their love and support of you. The hole could be pre-dug and the root ball could be wrapped. You could read a poem or something to the parents and then just place the bush into the spot. You could do a butterfly release. It's the perfect time of year for that and it's beautiful and something everyone of all ages can participate in. You order these off the web and then when you expose them to the sun, they warm up and fly away. It may seem a little old fashioned, but it's pretty as far as an additional decoration and all ages can do it. You could do the traditional May Pole. It's pretty and fun and you could use your wedding colors in the ribbons.

There are no activities between the ceremony and reception. Usually, this is the cocktail hour. The guests enjoy cocktails and appetizers, while the wedding party usually takes the opportunity to have the wedding photos taken.

May can be still quite cool if you live in a northern state, so without your location information, these may or may not work...but it's some ideas...
Giant beachball volleyball
Badminton
Horseshoes
Bean bag tic tac toe
Bubbles (fun for everyone)
Name that kazoo tune
Charades
Karaoke
I'm also going on the assumption that everyone will be somewhat if not formally dressed.
ADDED: Don't forget to video all of the activities, just in case you catch something for America's Funniest Home video$!
