Okay, I got a goal set on myself. I want to loose 30 pounds by July 12th. That's a pound a week for the next 7 months. Can I do this by eating 3 small meals a day, 3 snacks, drinking lots of water, and cutting out tea? Oh, and exercising? Any other ideas?

Tea is a great antioxident so dont cut it out. Maybe switch to green tea, it will help boost your metabolism and help you burn fat. Make sure not to skip any meals, they are all important. i lost 50 lbs by cutting out the bad sugers (ie- soda, candy, etc.) i do believe in eating six meals, well breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, and a snack. make sure what you eat is good for you and stay away from fast food. It's ok to have an occasional treat, but do it in moderation. try finding a way to exercise that is fun. I choise walking the mall, so not only was i burning calories but shopping too!

try cutting back on carbs. Anything starchy that isn't burned, turns into sugar and is stored in the body.
If that doesn't work for you, try focusing on colors. Meaning, broccoli, carrots, squash, red peppers, etc. The old saying the brigher the colors the more tempting to eat. Plus, it's healthy.

I was trying to lose 20 pounds, and I started the Atkin's diet. I cut out all teas, soda, sweets, salt, oils, fast food, and I was 125, now I'm 112lbs, with my goal weight being 105 (pre-pregnancy weight). I now have 7 more pounds to go.

Eat 5 or 6 times a day, smaller portions, drink lots of water, take a vitamin supplement, eat healthy...try and stay away from processed food.

Good luck!

Substitution works well. For example, if you have a sweet tooth, try eating fruit instead of sugary things. If you are just a regular snacker, try snacking on raw vegetables. That cuts down on calories, and gives you energy. Good luck.

You've got the diet just about perfect. And a healthy weight goal. Following that should get you where you want to be. Also, walking. Simply walking for an hour everynight has taken off so much weight for me personally. And it's nice. When my fiancee comes home from his deployment we're going to go for a walk everynight as our "us" time.

You really just have to cut your sweets, for snacks I've been eating Dannon Light & Fit yougurt. I just ate a peach flavored one it only has 40 calories, with no added sugar. It's made with Splenda. Hope this helps.

Having support is often a big part of losing weight. Try joining Weight Watchers. They offer support, accountability, and they teach you how to live a healthy lifestyle, not just how to diet.
