My fiance gave me an engagement ring that belonged to his mother...it is about 30 years old and it says fiancee inside the band. Someone at the jewelry store told me that was a company that is no longer in business. Has anyone ever heard of it or know how I can find out info. about the company? Thanks.

My asawa went into Manila City Hall and got two different prices from judges for marrying us there. One was 9000 and one was 5000 php..

What is the real price...as this is impossible as these guys would make 2.5 million pesos a week... NO WAY

I just recently got engaged (yay) and my future mother-in-law made the comment "Well, now you get to call me Mom!!" And she seems really excited about it...however, I know that my mom would really hate it if I called her mom (she has come straight out and told me she would). She said she would feel uncomfortable with it because she was the one who raised me and everything. I completely understand but how do I tell my future mother-in-law I don't want to call her mom without hurting her feelings??

We don't have much money to spend. Does anyone have any suggestions on renting a banquet hall or if hotel would be better. I can use any tips or any good websites on planning a wedding. Or any ideas about planning a wedding on a budget. I would really appreciate it.

I am getting married away and having very few people to keep the cost out of my pocket down. I will only be inviting my family and very close friends. My co worker keep suggesting to me to have a wedding registry. They are aware that none of them are invited (not to be rude) but they are aware and she keep telling me about the registry. I don't really feel comfortable with doing it but she is making it seem that I have to. I don't want to seem as though I am ungrateful for the though. How should I handle this situation. HELP

My husband was asked to take pictures at a wedding we are attending on New Years Eve. The groom offered to pay him for his services however, because he is not a photographer and is doing it to help out we want to have the pictures developed as a gift. I am sure we will not be able to do all of them with enlargements, etc. but we want to do a bridal album with all of the pictures and pic a few to enlarge and maybe frame them. How do we make mention of this in the wedding card instead of bringing a gift?

Oh, and do you have any other ideas on things we could do with the pictures for them? We want them to be special as it is our gift to them. THanks

I got engaged a year ago, it was arranged. I went India and met her had a engagement ceremony, we were happy. Infatuation more than the love actuallly

I know I have to marry her in around 2 years, and she is nice, but she is really boring. and i dont really feel love for her.

It is common, liking somebody first and then finding them boring?

Any suggestions?

My fiance and I have been living in our own apartment for a year now. We are 15 weeks from our wedding date, and our lease is up in mid-january. He plans on moving down to his Dad's house, in with his brother. (His dad does not live there, only his brother, who is 22.) He wants me to move with him also, but I'm really not sure I'm comfortable with the idea. The plan is to live there until April, before the wedding, and then buy a house. I know we don't have any real choices, other than myself, going to stay with my mom until we can have our own place again. Should I move with him, to live with his brother, even though I'm not comfortable, or should I just go my own way until we are married? I just really don't want to feel like we have a third wheel all of the time, cooking and cleaning for 3 people, and having no alone time, isn't appealing at all to me. I don't mind doing those things for my fiance, but I don't want to do them for his grown brother. Any advice?

I am thinking about holding my wedding there this summer/fall and would appreciate any input you have. I'm looking at the oak tree area for the ceremony and the reception in the clubhouse. Any thoughts about this venue would be appreciated!

First of all, I had all the songs picked out when my fiance and I decided to have a DJ, however, now that we've decided on a guitar soloist and possibly a duet w/a violin...I have no idea what songs to do. They of course will be instrumental. I would like suggestions for bride/groom, father/daughter, step-father/daughter, etc...Thanks in advance.

I have a very large family (Father has seven siblings, all married with kids, mother has four siblings, all married with kids). Given this, I knew my wedding was going to be large. However, I don't want to INVITE more than 250 people to my wedding. I have narrowed my parents' side down to 80 people (from 150). My fiance and I have 50 (wedding party and friends). His family, which is small (father has two siblings, married, with only eight kids including guests, mother has one sibling, married with six kids including guests), refuses to cut their list to 120 people. They included people I've never met before. They invited my finace's grandmother's sister (which is fine, mine is too) and her family...as in, Finace's grandmother's sister's husband kids and spouses AND their children. This is just a small example. I could go on.
I have talked to my finace and he won't tell his family to cut the list. He thinks its "proper" that they get invited. Again, people I've never met.

The one I want to get her costs a tremendous amount of money and is from Tiffanys. Does Tiffanys offer financing? If not, are there any other places I can obtain financing for the ring? Also, if Tiffanys only accepts payment all at once at the time of purchase, can I pay using like 3 or 4 credit cards dividing the total payment up amongst the different cards?

Any other creative ideas on how I can pay for this damn ring...I'm having second thoughts...single life was good......HELP!!!!!!!!
