My fiance gave me an engagement ring that belonged to his mother...it is about 30 years old and it says fiancee inside the band. Someone at the jewelry store told me that was a company that is no longer in business. Has anyone ever heard of it or know how I can find out info. about the company? Thanks.

I would think that the inscription was put there when the ring was given to his mother as a gift. "Fiance" just means promised to marry.
