My fiance's mother just emailed to remind me that she has special dietary needs that must be met by the wedding menu (it's a weekend wedding). Why this is rude: we share the same dietary problem- OF COURSE I will make sure there is food for us to eat. She even asked if she needed to bring a cooler! Also- the wedding is still 8 moths away. How do I handle this? I feel like sending back something equally rude but I won't hurt my fiance that way.

I dont think that he should have to but my dad told him that if he wanted to marry me that is what he had to do. Can anyone tell me if there is a way around the dang annulment???

I am getting married in 3 weeks and what has started off as a simple small wedding has turned into much more than that. My mom has made my wedding into this huge event that even I'm no longer looking forward to attending. I'm an extremley shy person and only wanted my close family and friends there to celebrate my big day with me and my mom and "wedding planner" have invited all these people. They keep telling me that I want this but I keep telling them I don't. They just wouldn't listen. Now I have this huge wedding with this huge reception and my mom has told me two days ago that now I have to pay for my cake and DJ. Granted I know both so got a really good price and only need $550 but how in the heck do I get that money in 3 weeks? I'm so stressed out and when people ask me if I'm excited and I can't help but say "not really". I just want it to be over with!! Not to mention my fiancee and I are young and had our first child young and we just wanted something small and simple

Hi, please, your thoughts on this silly situation.
I've known a girl "Sara" since we were in elementary school together. We came to the same college where we remained friends. Eventually, due to our friendship, my roommate also became friends with her. Happily both my roommate and I were invited to Sara's wedding, so began the process of choosing a gift.
My roommate "Marcia" purchased something off the registry. I decided to put together photo albums and DVDs featuring pictures of Sara and all her childhood memories as she had recently lost all her belongings in a fire. She cried and cried over all her memories going up in flames. It took months and the input of many of her friends to compile this gift.
After the wedding, Marcia recieves her thank you card and I recieved none. I didn't really care until I bumped into Sara's mom in a store and suddenly she blurted out "Sorry about not sending a card, they were expensive so I decided to reserve them for the expensive gifts"

I bot her everything a normal child would get. Put her through cheerleading, brought her to concerts. Her mom remarried we had a nasty divorice. She never came to see me. One day I was at my sons baseball game she came up to me and told me she was getting married this year. Over the next two weeks I tried to get in touch with her but she would never return my calls. I was never invited or given any dates. During the time I was trying to get in touch with her was when she married. Her mother had told me about the wedding.

What does this role include? Has anyone ever heard of having a wedding hostess before? Is it similar to being a wedding planner without the planning?

We've been together 4 years, have a 2 year old son and live together. We've talked about getting married, but have never mentioned when. It seems like it won't happen unless I push the issue. Since we live together I do everything a wife does for her husband. I think I put in extra effort in taking good care of him. I just wish he would ask me soon.

My father is a good man at heart but very stingy with his wallet. My fiancee and I have money saved for our wedding but would appreciate any help we can get. My fiancee's parents are divorced and don't have a lot of money but my father and mother do. How do I ask him for help with the wedding when I know it will be like pulling teeth?

My husband and I have been married now for going on 3 yrs. We never got to have a wedding ceremony do to lack of finances and such. I just want to know what your opinion would be of someone having a wedding ceremony after they are already married. Because I still would like to have my daddy walk me down the isle. And I'm never getting divorced so he can't do it in my next marriage. Any Ideas or comments?

again my fiancee and I are having a destination wedding and my parents and his thought it would be a good idea if my parents paid for my trip and his (divorced) parents paid for his. His dad lost his job and his mom doesn't have enough money to pay for his in full. Should we (myself and fiancee) just pay for his trip? What about the reception? Who pays for what and what if his parents have the money to contribute, then do we?

Most people that get married on the beach have favors that are themed with the beach. Shoudl I do something "lake" themed? Any help is great!
