Does anyone have any suggestions for wedding favors? I am getting married on waterfront at a lake house next june. I was wanting something unique/different for my wedding favors. Most people that get married on the beach have favors that are themed with the beach. Shoudl I do something "lake" themed? Any help is great!

I had this cute idea for my own wedding that never happened.

I found bottles with large openings and I put a piece of parchment with a nice poem from the bride/groom. Along with sand, shells, and individually wrapped chocolates. I put a cork in the top to resemble the "message in a bottle" look and tied a pretty ribbon with a tag saying "Message from the Bride and Groom" around the neck.

I thought it was cute, probably been done before but looked darling when I was finished.

Lake themed is ok but since it is summer i think that fans are a good favor to give away. Be it silk or straw I think that the fans would be a big hit.

I design wedding favors. I have done many weddings so far. One I did was on the ocean and I painted a little scene of dunes on each of many large seashells along with the bride and grooms name and date. For a lake scene I might get tiny glass bottles and fill them with sand....tie a tiny piece of driftwood at the neck of the bottle, then paint your names and date on it. Good luck (PS...if you'd like me to do them, my email is thatartistwin@aol.com....just put wedding favors in the subject box....id have other ideas too).....ps.....blue seaglass in tiny votive candles would be good too....again, painted with your names and date in the colors of the wedding)

You could go with a lake / wildflower theme and have your centerpieces and other elements be around wildflowers. And then your favor could be a packet of wildflower seeds (perhaps with a little pot and shovel, or watering can depending on your budget). Best wishes and have FUN!

Give them little terra cotta pots (the little baby ones) with a mesh baggie of seeds...try to pick flowers that are the color of your wedding. They can plant them when they get home!

How about little bags of flower seed, with a cute poem about growing love or something like that?
