I am getting married this Saturday, and my fiance is having a cow because I haven't done anything about changing my last name. He got quite upset with me when I mentioned that I might use a hyphen and keep both names, and all that stuff.

Should I do what I want, or what he wants me to do?

Posted the question a few minutes ago: Can I get married int he Catholic Church without confirmation? I am Catholic and already went through marriage prep. The Priest and I never discussed confirmation. Wedding is in one month. Invitations have been mailed out already announcing a Catholic Church. What can I do???

I have looked at every wedding invitation website it seems and I can't not find a decent invitation that has gerber daisy's on it. If this isn't possible I'm looking for a sage green or pink wedding invitation, can anyone point me i the right direction. I'd like it to have good paper qulaity too. Most websites feature invitations (Iv'e ordered samples) that have real flimsy paper.

Also, I need some creative ideas for reception favors.

Thanks!

My Fiance and I haven't anywhere to live, other than the woods, and his parents said that they would only take us in if we were married and would also provide them with rent payments. We have only been together for five months, yet I love him and would do anything at this point, to stay off of the streets. WHAT SHOULD I DO???

I always thought the bride and grooms bands were supposed to match. The ladies ring a little smaller, but same material, shape, design. But since we started looking at engagement rings, they almost always have a wedding band that matches the diamond ring. Obviously, his wedding band would not match (not even close) if we went with the diamond band that would match the diamond ring. Also, he wants a titanium band, which would not go with my platinum diamond ring, if we were to try and match bands. I guess what I want to know is: What are other people doing these days?

My hubby and I eloped and had the most perfect, intimate, romantic wedding. But that's all we had money for was the wedding and one night stay in an economy hotel. We didn't even have any pictures done, because the plan was we would come back in a month and do them and then have a small reception afterwards. But you know how life is, first a honeymoon baby postponed things, then a major move...etc.etc... I have always wanted to have a traditional reception and do all those things such as invite every close person I've ever known, cut the cake, have a first dance, throw my boquet, and finnally have formal wedding photography in my wedding dress, (even though I won't look quite as young as I did at 22) Would it be weird to have a 10th anniversary celebration and complete my dream wedding reception I really wanted to have? Looking for opinions if you were one of my guests invited to this senario would you think it a waste of your time or money to come since it is already past?

My finance and I are having cupcakes instead of wedding cake. I would like to use the cupcakes as the centerpieces on each table. My FH's uncle is making our cake. I'd like to see some pictures if anyone has any.
I've already searched yahoo and google. Didn't come up with much.

My best friend for 5 years now is getting married and she asked me to be her maid of honor, but everything I do to try and help my friend her mother steps in and says "no way". We went shopping for dresses and everything me and my friend thought was elegant or atleast worth trying on her mom would say looked like she was having a shotgun wedding...... I mean come on! Every idea I have is just thrown out the window! Is it okay to finally give in and tell the woman to let her daughter decide and quit giving me hell? I really just want to curse her out....

My fiance is American, but I am Thai. We will have an American wedding in April. In our traditional, we don't have a dance like American do for father and daughter. Even thought we are very close, but my dad and I feel uncomfortable to ballroom dance. Is it ok if we skip a dance while my fiance has a dance with his mother?

I am planning a wedding and plan to only invite close friends and family aprox. 30-50 people. My finace and I do not want anything extreme or outrageouse just something simple and nice. I have budgeted $2,000 dollars for this wedding my step-mother is a photographer and will be doing all of our pictures. My family will be doing all of the cooking and we will pay for the food. Please let me know your opinion if this sounds doable thank you.

Im a photographer/videographer and I want to work with wedding planners but I need help. Whats the best way to deal business with wedding planners or people who own bridal stores? Do I charge more to pay commision to the planners? Should I let the Planner add her price to my own? I dont know. What common for a wedding planner to charge for commision? I really need help with this.

Just wondering- I posted a couple of questions and I am getting some people stating how horrible a register is.
In my mind it's just a poliet suggestion if you would like to purchase a gift for us- this is what we need and like.
I am older and have lived on my own for years so I have most of the basics.
Why do you hate registy? Did you have a bad experiance?

My BF mom won't let her register because she though it was tacky so she refuse to let my friend register and then she received 35 set of cassorole dishes as gifts.
