I'm planning a wedding reception for a bride and her man. The groom and bride can both ballroom dance and want to include it in their wedding, but the groom is also the ultimate post adolescent gamer. Ballroom dancing is great for many of the women who would want to try it and the older folks, but the groom wants something for his friends who come. His best friends and most of the guys at the reception are also big time gamers. They are older (20s 30s and 40s) and have jobs and are not misfits. They are a little shy when there's nothing to do to keep them entertained. The groom wants them to have a great time but I'm at a loss for coming up with ideas. They probably won't want to dance. The bride is completely down with anything, but I want to keep it tasteful and fun. Any ideas?

He wants to protect all that he will "inherit" from his family.

We are both 20 years old, and I find it absurd to sign pre-nups at our age when our only assets are our cars.

Any suggestions! please!

I know it is basically up to each invidiual couple, but I was wondering what the standard practice was. My girlfriend proposed to me, so I do not have a ring for her yet, but she obviously has one for me. Is it ok/normal? How should I deal with people who say something about it?

I am getting married April of next year. We are going to Vegas with a small grup of people and then having a reception in our town when we return. I have the wording for the invitations themselves I just don't know how to word that we are not registering at any stores. We live with my fiance's sick grandmother, taking care of her and helping her around the house. We don't have a place to store gifts, and she has the house packed with all her stuff. What I need is wording saying we are wishing for money so we can put it in savings for a later use...maybe a honeymoon or downpayment for a house. We don't want to offend by asking for money but do not have the space or need for gifts that we can't use. Help! any suggestions will help

What is the point to all that waste of money???

Is there really a need to invite 1000 guests???

Is there a need for a horse drawn carriage???

Then the cost of the venue...

When I got wed, it cost a £1000 and I thought that was expensive... Granted we managed to cut a few corners...

......as we have been told we need to have around 7 minutes of music. We have already chosen Kissing You by Des'ree (about 3 and a half mins) so ideally we would like something that will 'go' with that, I am just having a bit of a blank and can't think of anything!
