How about The Ritz? I think you need to go all out as it will be your honeymoon so you need to pick someone that looks lovely and has great customer service. Have you tried looking on the internet? www.confetti.co.uk might be helpful.

It very much depends on your budget - but here are some suggestions:

London - West End and Knightsbridge
Luxury: Berkeley, Manderin Oriental, Claridges, Dukes
Modern and Funky: St Martin's Lane, One Aldwych

London - City
Luxury: Great Eastern Hotel, Malmaison, The Rookery
Modern & Funky (and cheap): Hoxton Hotel

Berkshire:
Luxury: Cliveden, Sir Christopher Wrens House, Stoke Park (used in 'The man with the Golden Gun' and 'Layer Cake'
Mid-price: The Christopher Hotel (v. nice!!)

Where ever you decide to go, book direct with the hotel and not via Expedia etc.. they put their 'fee' on top of the price

Have a look around the Hyde Park Corner area, there are some great hotels dotted around there, with fantastic views over the park and the rest of London.

How about the Lakes instead. Merewood Country House Hotel is a lovely setting overlooking Lake Windermere.

Do not even think of going to the Mayfair international in the centre of London it is worse than your worst nightmare of a hotel it is not clean, the staff are not nice and the water in the bathroom runs brown due to the ancient iron piework. we stayed there, we regret it.

St Martin's Lane Hotel in Covent Garden is really nice/trendy/modern/young if that's what you're after.

How about Claridges, Gordon Ramsey does the menu there so you could have a meal too. Cost around 300 quid/night for a room.
