Whas everybody forgotton what the white dress is supposed to symbolize? In case people dont know it signifys purity and basically being a virgin. And i know perfectly well there is MAYBE 1% that deserve the privlege of wearing a white dress. Now dont get me wrong there is a clear difference between woman you sleep with and women you marry and i can tell you i have had the privlege many of times in my teenage and early 20's of being the individual to take that privlege away from woman( it was of their own free will nothing ever forced) but now that i am my mid 20's its harder and harder to find a woman either without kids or that hant slept with anyone before (let alone half the city). I want to have a proud wife someday one that has saved herself and i look around and i dont think that exists anymore. What iseveryones opinion on this?

We have been engaged for 2 1/2 years, and we have set 4 wedding dates. But we keep pushing them back because of money since we have to pay for it ourselves. Well my sister offered to use her house, and instead of wedding gifts all my sisters would pay for the food, decorations, etc... basically the whole wedding. When I told him this, he said her house was too small, and we needed to keep looking. I think this is perfect since we cant afford a wedding. Im getting ready to say forget it, this is stressing me out. I just want to go to the JP but he doesnt want to do that either. What does he want ?

I was talkin to him and he told me since we are living together (understand that there are reasons behind him living with me and my mother who lives with us part time). I know who my creater is and I love him very dearly but someone please help me what should I do? Should i find someone else to marry me (which i was thinking my grandfather, but i dont know if he wants to do it plus he lives in another state) or stick with someone who does not believe my faith in god.

i'm looking for somewhere to hold my whole wedding. it has to be a place that can be flexible with menus and drinks packages etc and somewhere that provides accommodation and good places for the photos. also no more than £26 per head for the wedding breakfast as my budget is quite tight. castles, country houses, hotels etc... thanks!

I am planning to get engaged soon but I do not want the typical diamond ring. I would like to have an engagement band. When I get married I want a wedding bad also. Are there any sites that have wedding band sets? I keep coming across sites that have sets with a band and a ring.

I chose a bridesmaid dress that is $205.00 which includes alterations. They are also running a special that the dresses are tax free. So, the total is $205.00. One of my bridesmaids (my fiances sister) feels the dress is too expensive. She thinks she can get the same dress at a different bridal shop cheaper. Should I just give her the designer and item # and let her get it somewhere different than the rest of us? She says she doesnt care about alterations being included because she isnt going to need any alterations??? I dont want to be rude or demanding because this is going to be my sister-in-law but I dont want to take a chance that something goes wrong with the dress. HELP!!

When should we send the shower invites? We have some guests that live about 2 hours away. Also, should co-worker be invited to the actual shower because they will probably do something at work as well. i dont want them to feel like they have to buy 2 gifts.

my fiance has 6 groomsmen, there is no questioning or changing that, I have 1 MOH, and have asked 2 BM's so far, I also want to ask my 3 cousins (ages 32-38), their daughters are very close to me, and they are at a weird age, 8 yrs. old, too old to be flower girls, so I was going to have them be junior BM's, but that becomes too many. Help!!!!!! Should I ask my three cousins to be BM's or have their daughters be junior BM's (there are 2 of them).

if you read my past questions you will see im planning to propose to my girlfriend in Egypt (we go next week) and i recently had to grasp the only opportunity i could to ASK HER DAD!!

he said it was a good idea but also said he wants me to talk to him and her mum when she is back from ghana! this is several weeks after i intend to propose!!! i could only speak to him really briefly cos my girlfriend had popped indoors to get something, and i dont see her parents very often

i dont know what to do, of course i want it to be romantic, so doing it on a beach in Egypt would be great, but im not sure what her dad was thinking about waiting? we wont get a romantic chance like this for ages.

any suggestions?? i might talk to her sister and ask her advice.

My fiance proposed to me back in March this year and since then he refuses to talk about getting married. I didn't pressure him into proposing, he just did it before we moved from Australia to London.

Now I bring up wedding dates etc and he always says "I dont want to talk about it". When we return to Australia he wants to get a job, buy a house, etc etc but no where on his plans is there a wedding.

I just wonder, why propose (with a gorgeous expensive ring too - so it's not like it was a last minute thought) if you don't want to get married.

Thoughts?
