Where in Michigan are you located? Southwest, Southeast, Central, Northern, the UP? If you give a general idea of where we can help you out a lot more.

I know of a couple of places, but not to expensive can mean different things to different people:

Brook Lodge Hotel and Conference Resort - Augusta, MI (Between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek) - http://www.hfs.msu.edu/brooklodge/index.html

Leila Arboretum - Battle Creek, MI - http://www.leilaarboretumsociety.org/ - I had my wedding ceremony here and my reception at Burnham Brook http://laurasgourmetcatering.com/ & http://www.burnhambrook.com/bbc/catering.html

Southern Exposure Herb Farm - Battle Creek, MI (East Side towards Marshall / I-69) - http://www.southernmoon.com/ - I was just here for my first time last week. This place is beautiful. If I would have known about it before my wedding, I might have tried to have it here.

Not cheap but this place is here to:
Yarrow Golf & Conference Center - Augusta, MI (Between Kalamazoo & Battle Creek) - http://www.yarrowgolf.com/page/156-4384.htm

The Medalist Golf Club - Marshall, MI - http://www.themedalist.com/page/377-19101.htm

Northern, MI
Castle Farms - Charlevoix, MI - http://www.castlefarms.com/ - beautiful, but it looks like it costs an arm and a leg. I don't see pricing on the website.

Also, depending on how big of a wedding you want you can check out some area B&B's and Inns. A lot of the time they have beautiful gardens.

For more locations, just ask your friends, family, co-workers, etc... You can also do an internet search for Outdoor Wedding MI and lots of information pops up.

Congratulations!

The Cascades Falls in Jackson Michigan, It is surrounded by a huge park (garden type) and it has many areas that would look beautiful for a wedding, from a water fountain to a bridge, and many other palces. The best part is is that getting married in this park is free, you just have to let them know when you are going to be using the park.

Mackinac Island. There is a beautiful gazebo outside of the Mission Pointe Resort grounds. I've been to a wedding there and it was absolutely gorgeous. The bride arrived in a horse drawn carriage.

Go to Barnes & Nobles book store and they have a Michigan bridal magazine. In the magazine it has a list of all the nice places to have your reception at. It includes in door and out door places.
