Whas everybody forgotton what the white dress is supposed to symbolize? In case people dont know it signifys purity and basically being a virgin. And i know perfectly well there is MAYBE 1% that deserve the privlege of wearing a white dress. Now dont get me wrong there is a clear difference between woman you sleep with and women you marry and i can tell you i have had the privlege many of times in my teenage and early 20's of being the individual to take that privlege away from woman( it was of their own free will nothing ever forced) but now that i am my mid 20's its harder and harder to find a woman either without kids or that hant slept with anyone before (let alone half the city). I want to have a proud wife someday one that has saved herself and i look around and i dont think that exists anymore. What iseveryones opinion on this?

It does exist, I'm saving myself not only physically but also emotionally for my future husband. I want to be able to give him my whole unadulterated heart. But I also expect him to be saving himself for me. I'll be willing to forgive, everyone makes mistakes, but I won't just give my carefully guarded heart to a guy that hasn't kept his guarded. If you want a pure, loyal wife, start being a good, loyal future husband...

Too many girls are wearing white. I agree. I think it's nice that you want a virgin to marry, but you see how you've made it hard for the other guys to find a virgin too don't you? Maybe you can find a "reformed virgin" that is to say someone who used to sleep around but now does NOT have sex and will NOT have sex again until her wedding day. I was one such girl and actually had the great fortune to find MY 26 year old virgin. I know finding a guy virgin is so rare, but he's a rare find and I'm hanging on for dear life. Anyway, we got married 11 years ago and on our wedding night finally , well you know where I'm going with that. So I did wear white, because I had decided before meeting him that I wasn't going to have sex again until I was married, and I thought that was good enough. I love a line from SATC, where Miranda is shopping for a dress and the dress lady keeps bringing her white dresses to look at and Miranda sort of snaps "no white, we have a child together, I think the cat's out of the bag"
Good luck finding the right one, in the end that's all that matters.

YOU ARE WRONG! it is a myth that wearing white symbolizes virginity. The tradition of wearing white at weddings began due to the choice of color of the wedding dress of Queen Victoria at her wedding to Prince Albert. Victoria's choice popularized the white gown as no other had before her. Later attribution suggested that the color white symbolized virginity which is false. However it was originally the color blue that was connected to purity. Wearing a white dress is just a tradition, that many women are very fond of. There really isnt anything special about saving yourself in my mind. Sex is an important part of building a strong relationship, and I would rather build a strong relationship BEFORE I got married. I want to be sure....I dont want to be divorced.

at one point in history a "white wedding outfit"" meant the family of the bride was wealthy enough for the lady to wear something so extravagant that it could only be worn once - as white was not a colour that could be cleaned very easily.most woman would wear an outfit that they felt flattered them but that was practical & could be used as their ""church /best"" dress
YES I agree with a the other answers - taking you to task for your double standards- those belong in the dark ages
Also if you took the time to do some research you will find the "tradition" of a white wedding dress basically applies to western culture- for some cultures white signifies mourning

I think that to want a woman who has saved herself over the years while it sounds like you were being a little free with the girls is a little bit of a double standard. A woman who has saved herself isn't going to want a man who sounds like he has also slept with half the city.

And the symbolism of colors at a wedding are purely traditional and are no longer highly regarded. Women can wear what they want whether it's white, green, purple or black.

Wearing white is more tradition now a days, then a sign of virginity. But also what goes around comes around sugar. You should have thought of that before you took so many women's virginity. Sucks don't it?? Oh and before you say anything crude I was a virgin at the time of marriage.

in case you're concetrating on a "virgen" as a mate for existence. you have a greater physically powerful risk in prevailing the lottery. you're able to perhaps boost your horizon to perhaps a women persons who has slept with under 3 men. do no longer forget that with the aid of fact you have adventure, what would got here approximately in case you discovered a virgen which would be unable to delight you in mattress? fantastically particular you would be finding someplace else to get your exhilaration. As for the white gown, that's replace right into a fashion assertion than an emblem.

I personally am waiting until marriage to have sex. But remember this: wearing a white dress originally symbolized purity, this is true. BUT it's mostly a tradition now. AND it also serves to show that the wife plans to remain pure for her husband, regardless of what she did before. It's just symbolic. And women can wear white in their wedding if they want to. It's just a color, not a religios sacrament.

If you have slept around, why can't she? It sounds like a bit of a double standard.

I am for waiting until marriage if that is what you want, but I think that you shouldn't expect a pure wife if you haven't been pure yourself. Also, most women who do chose to wait until marriage get married well before their mid-20s. So good luck in finding the right woman, but they are few are far between.

Time to get into the new century! Times have changed since white dresses meant the brides were virgins. White dresses are now simply classic, elegant and traditional.

You've slept around but you expect your bride to be a virgin? Wow, what a dumb double standard. You're going to be single for a long, long, long, long LONG time.
