It's up to the bride, but it's her father. If she wants him to give her away then he should be the one to do it.

Yes its not like the father got divorced from the daughter, so i would say yes. It still her father. As long as the bride has a good relationship with her father, and she wants him there i see why not. Her parents are divorced but i don't see why she should pay the price, for there mistake. You only have one father a life time. Give him that right to give his daughter away.

If the divorce has not affected the father daughter relationship, the father should definitely give the bride away. He is still her father, divorced or not.

This is a much more complicated question then it seems. There are factors to consider. Has your father been there for you, has he been part of your life despite the divorce? Or, did he disappear the day the papers were signed? If you WANT your dad to walk you down the aisle - then he walks you down the aisle:) If you would feel more comfortable having someone else do it, or not being escorted at all, that is your call.

It's entirely the bride's decision as to who gives her away. Because I wasn't close to either my father or my stepfather when I got married, I asked my mother to give me away. Some brides choose to have their brother or sister, or even a brother-in-law or an uncle away. My cousin had our grandfather do the honors. It all depends on what the bride wants.

it depends on how the bride feels about her father and her mother, i was recently the maid of honor in a wedding where the bride had her mother and her father give her away, when the preacher asked who gives this bride her parents said "we do" it worked just fine
in another wedding i was in the bride had her fother give her away but when the preacher asked her dad said "her mother and i do."
these are just a couple of situations that worked out just beautifuly
~good luck

He's still the father right? Of course. I would think he'd feel pretty upset if he didn't get the chance to give away his daughter.
