We have having a maid of honor, best man, grooman, and "bridesman" (my brother). First-should I just call him a bridal attendant?

Second, since my only "bridesmaid" is a male...how do I go about the walking down the aisle thing? Would it be weird to have everyone walk down the aisle (including groomsman) separately? Is there any good reason the guys shouldn't walk down the aisle by themselves? I'll probably have the best man up front with my husband-to-be in case tries to run away (haha!)

Also-how long did it take you to get used to saying "my husband" AND to having a new last name?? I think it is going to be really really weird.

I am having a small and informal outdoor wedding at a plantation bed and breakfast next May. I want to do the cooking myself, and I am planning on making individual picnic baskets for each guest. I want the food to be a little more special than just lunchmeat or whatever, kinda old-fashioned, southern....

Preliminary menu--
Shaved prime rib w/horseradish mayo on mini yeast rolls.
Southern fried chicken
Garden Pasta Salad
Sliced Cucumbers and Onions
Kettle Style Chips
Chocolate Sandies Cookies
Cupcake Wedding Cake

Any comments or alternate ideas would be appreciated. Keep in mind that they must be able to be individually wrapped and packed in boxes. Must not need to be cold, and must be easy to eat outside.

We don't have a huge budget - but we are planning on having a dj - great party/dance music, and an open bar. We were concidering offering karaoke for the wedding guests. Would that be fun? We just want it to be REALLY FUN. There will be some kids there too - so nothing raunchy!

I'm getting married next year, and trying to figure out who I want in my wedding party. I have 3 best friends. I'm having a hard time deciding who I want as my maid of honor. I don't have a sister or any female cousins to use in that capacity, and I don't want any of my friends to be jealous that I picked one over the others. Do I have to have one?

I'm getting married in a year, i have 1 matron of honor and 2 made of honors. I have this part time best friend who feels like she's the made of honor. I did make her a part of the wedding as a brides maid but I'm not sure how she's going to take that. We have been through ALOT good and bad throughoout these last coupke of yeas but I don't feel like she will be able to do all the things a made of honor is responsible for. I love her to death but I don't want to have to take on her responsibilities in the end. How should I or can I tell her without necessarily causing her to not want to be in the wedding at all?

Should the groomsman escort the bridesmaids down the aisle, or should all of the groomsman be standing by the groom? I do not have a wedding planner, so I need some help!!! Thank you in advance.

I was engaged 6 months before her (set my date then!), and now not only is she getting married 3 weeks before me, she's going on a 2 1/2 week honeymoon and coming back on the WEDNESDAY before my wedding. She's going to the same place I am going on MY HONEYMOON, because she thought it was a good idea. My question is, obviously, she's not going to be able to plan all of my bachelorette party stuff and bridal shower stuff, which is fine. My other bridesmaids are totally stepping up, even though my MOH hasn't even acknowledged anything. Should I still be expected to plan all of her stuff? I mean my wedding will be right around the corner. She had mentioned before that even though I'm not her MOH (her sister is, which is fine!), she wanted me to do all this for her, and I think I need to put my foot down this time. What do you think?

I and my dad don't have a relationship. Due to his wife. I was probably 12-14 yrs old and I found out from him he and Connie went to Arkansas and legally got married. I went crazy. To this day I hate Connie so much and I blame her on alot of my feelings towards her. I even didn't know they were engaged. How dumb does he think I am.
