What do you wish you had paid more for, or less for? Is there something you cut from the budget or did yourself, but now feel you should have paid someone else to do? Or is there something you wish you hadn't spent so much money on? And even more importantly, what do you feel was money well spent?

i'm trying to plan a wedding during my fiance's leave from iraq. but i was wondering if anyone could tell me when to expect to know the exact dates of when his leave will actually be? it's hard enough planing a wedding, but trying to plan one when you don't yet know what date you are going to get married is really tricky. also, if anyone has any tips or hints on last minuet wedding plans or something, because i'm afraid that's what it's going to come down to if we don't find out untill a week or two before he comes home.

Only me I swear; I had to have a bridesmaid drop out because she is pregnant, my other friend is going through a nasty divorce and my fiances sister wont do it because she's "too old" (40) - nice right. Anyway I've run out of girls to ask and now the wedding party is off by one on my side, how exactly am I to work this now? any suggestions?

I want to find out prior to my wedding what dinner selection the guests want so i can coordinate with the caterer. Is there a proper way to get this info? Also, do/did you include a different meal for those who have dietary restrictions?

I am getting married in May 2008. So far, colors are silver and black dresses with colorful bouquettes to add color. I am looking for a theme for my wedding, but am unsure how to incorporate these colors. Wedding in is Adirondacks. I dont have much experience with weddings so I would love all of the ideas and inputs you have to offer about any aspect!

Men...the same goes for you as well....is she the one?

Marriage is a very serious issue. It is not to be taken lightly. It is a LIFE commitment. Before you walk down that isle, youmust be sure that you both (not just one) are making the right decision. I mean...Do you really love each other. And if so, is this your definition of love:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13: 4-8

Please take this seriously. If this does not match your love for each other, take time to make sure this is right. I say this from the bottom of my heart....DON"T WIND UP DIVORCED!...Stop it before it happens.

Is he (she) the one?

We are having a destination wedding with just family. About a month later, we'll have a reception back home for everyone else. Because of cost, I was wondering if anyone had ideas other than doing a full dinner.

I was thinking cocktail "hour" with h'dourves...but how long should it be if there is no dinner? As far as alcohol goes-is it okay if we just have wine/champagne and maybe keg beer? Or should we really have liquor?

I've also heard of a cake & champagne reception. Any other ideas?
