Im thinking of a dress by this designer, anybody have input as to whether they liked or disliked dresses by this designer?

They're beautiful gowns! I would just say shop around, because the pricing is very competitive, and do not order on-line, because no licensed Maggie Sottero dealer is allowed to sell online. Also, order your dress at least 4 months in advance, if not longer - they are all handmade, and can take a bit of time to come in.

I have a few associates that sell Maggie Sottero and they have all had really great things to say about the designs and the quality of the construction of the dresses.

The only real complaint I have about the Maggie gowns from customers is the weight. They are extremely heavy (most of the satin gowns). They use a much heavier satin than most designers. The gowns can weigh easily around 10 lbs and that is really a lot to carry when it is clothing. If you go with the chiffon, organza or taffeta they are much lighter in weight. They are made well and many brides adore their gowns.

I like maggie but I love Kenneth Pool, Amsale, Some of Angel Sanchez's & Justin Alexander. Many of Maggie's dresses are just a little too undone looking for me.

The dresses that she makes have substandard silk/satin. Actually, you should speak with a wedding stylist and a coordinator.
Compare styles and materials. You can then decide if you would like to purchase her dress.
You only wear the dress once but the materials have to be good if you plan on storing the dress and maybe passing it down.

I like her design. I think I have a dress from her from about 5 years ago. It's strapless, princess bodice, A line and very flattering on just about any figure. It's a size 4 if you're interested in it - I am looking to sell it :-)

Maggie's dresses are absolutely beautiful! You are making the right choice!
I'm planning an '09 wedding and have about 6 bridal magazines filled with her ads. Her gowns are so elegant, yet sexy and flattering!

She's good, but you should also check out the dresses made by Mori Lee, that's who I went with, she has beautiful gowns.
