My bf, wants to get married. One problem. He refuses to tell me his past.
He is 43. He hates talking about his childhood. Anytime I try to ask him something about what he did in life between the age of 20 and 40 he shuts down. He says that he does not want to go there. That he does not want to talk about his past. He has never been married. Has never had kids. He has spent a little bit of time in jail. A few weeks here and there for drinking. I have known him a year and I have been going out with him for 6 months. I want him to be open with me. I want closer to his past. Yet, he will not tell me. Then, it is all left to my imagination to wonder.

What would you do, if the guy you want to marry refuses to talk about his past? Especially if you felt like he was hiding something from you?

He is a nice guy. I just feel like I don't really know him, because he won't share.

I even asked him if he used to be gay. He said no.

I can’t stand that she smokes; we are both adults, we are together since 3 years ago and she smokes since a long time before that. She smokes very few, but I can not stand even one. She knows I do not like it and she tries to do it when I am not around, but the odor remains.
I had even taken the cigar from her hand a throw it in the floor.
What can I do to make her stop smoking?
makes me believe that smoking for her is more important that our relationship.

ive been dating this guy for only a few days and i wanna break up with him. he keeps telling me how much he loves me but the problem is i dont love him and i think we should stay friends.

I know that some girls do this. Like, when a boy breaks up with the girl. The girl's friends will immediately develop a "dislike" in the boy, even if they dont know the reason behind their breakup. Well Im wondering if guys do that too. If they begin to dislike the girl for breaking up with their friend, whatever the reason is. Because I have a boyfriend, and I was wondering what would happen to the new friends Ive made from meeting him.

My boyfried has not one, not two... no even three but FOUR ex girlfriends that still consider him a friend/'best' friend.

why cant he see how strange this is too keep these women all hanging around?

barely a day goes by when our day isnt interrupted by a text/phone call or email from at least one of them.

i cant stand it. i dont think its right and i have tried talking to him about it. he says he understands but has never explained why he needs to keep all these women.

normally when you break up thats that. if you break up then there is no more love... if there is no more love there shouldnt be anymore friendship... especially the way some of them (all come to think of it have done him wrongs) treat him!!

i cant stand it and i dont know how to deal with the jelousy. i didnt think i was a jelous person. honest.

any advice at all is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

My girlfriend and I waited till we were 18, I understand that underage sex is illegal and different countries set the bar at different ages but there are some things I'm not too clear on. Millions of kids as young as 12 and 13 have sex, as soon as they're able to get erections or get wet they're humping away. But how is the law enforced, how are the police to know about these kids having sex and the penalties? If someone of age has sex with a minor it equates to statuory rape but what about kids the same age, who gets charged with the rape or is there no charge as such? For example, Britney Spear's sister and her boyfriend have been having sex, but now he might face up to 10 years because she is pregnant. How else was anyone to know? I just want to know how all this works and the point of having a law that is so poorly enforced.

This guy used to be mad after her but she never took him as a bf kind. They became good friends though. But I have never liked the guy as person too. He is a snob, arrogant and what not. I even know that he had almost brought her to tears a few times. Now, sometimes when she mentions him in our conversations, i find myself at a complete loss for words. I am into this girl. We've gone on a probably 3 dates and have another planned... So I like to think shes interested too... now should I just be blunt and say "As you can see, I'm into you.. I jsut wanna make sure we're both in the same boat and you have that interest in me as well..." or something like that or should I just go with the flow? ok heres a question, im curious, which one of these girls would you choose? it may sound biased but this is all i know about the people. and you can judge the names too.

1. Tesla-about 4'11 and 90 lbs and already has a baby, pretty much a ho who will sleep with anyone, does ok in school, can be fun to be around, not too funny and talks a lot about people, thinks shes tough, changes loyalty really easily, basic gangsta girl

2. I met a girl in July (she is 27, I am 37) and we have been in touch by phone and email until recently (October) that we saw each other again. We have gone to dinner, theatre and gone hiking. We have met up in night clubs and we seem to have good chemistry so far. I have not kissed her yet but we exchange hugs when we see each other. She knows that I am interested in her and we are getting to know each other.

She is in real estate is and works all the time. She lists houses for her business and I want to get her a gift for Christmas.

I want to get her a GPS system for her car. Nothing too expensive, under $200. I do not want to give candy or anything like jewelry, etc. at this time. I think she would really find the GPS useful.

What I want to know is whether this is a lame gift, useless, meaningless or does it show that I think about her and her work and want to give her something useful. Or should I hold back and give something else? Any ideas either way?

Does he LOVE me or does he just LOVE NOT being single? I have heard from some friends that he has asked them to be is girlfriend too. They are NOTHING like me, And....I have NEVER seen him without a girlfriend. I tried to ask him but he said no with a "why are you asking me this" look on his face. He's 17, im two years younger. We had a really good relationship but he's such a player and has a reputation for being a jerk. We broke up but he will IM me randomly and ask me if i would ever date his friend, or ask me about a guy he heard i hooked up with. He called me and asked me to hang out last weekend and we havent talked on the phone since we broke up. I thought he was sort of kidding so i didnt take him seriously and was just like yeah ok whatever. At school my friend brought up the fact that he called, and he was like no i was just messing with her, why would i. He has NO reason to dislike me. I was w/ my bf for 2 months when he broke up w/ me. It has been almost 2 weeks since the breakup. I know 2 months isn't a very long time but I am heartbroken and miss him so much. The reason he wanted to end things was b/c things were moving very quickly and our feelings for each other were very strong in such a short amount of time. He said this really scares & overwhelms him. He is also in school ful time and works part time. Things were working great but I think it all just got too much for him and he freaked out and got scared. Before me, he had been single for over 2 years and I think being w/ me took him out of his comfort zone. He also has issues w/ women and really has his guard up (his mom is mentally ill & is very needy of him, his dad is on his 3rd marriage and they have all been gold-diggers, his ex gf of over 2.5 years cheated on him and left him for an older rich guy). So I do understand why his defenses are up.

The feeling's mutual: I like him and he likes me.. except for there's a little distance between us (about 10 hours). Last night we were talking and he said how his couch and bed smelled like sex and cigarettes. so I was like, "lovely". And I was on webcam and he said I had a look of jealousy. Why would he tell me that he had sex with another girl if he claims to like me? He said he's liked me for a while now. He was like, "I want to get to know you better. i am 18 this year. i think i am a girl who likes attention and i feel very 'bored' and left out when i'm in a big group and nobody is paying attention to me. the funny thing is, i don't like too much attention either and i don't like to be in the spotlight all the time because i don't like the idea of me being talk 'bout by people, especially people whom i am not very close to. it seems to me like i build my self-esteem and confidence on how much attention peope gives me. i am talking bout good attention here, not tha kinda unwanted attention. if i don' get enough attention, i feel like a loser, i am not attractive or something. it's like the youngest child syndrome. how can i deal with this?

this was the first and only time i said things like this to her. i am a bi female. i apologized to her sincerely many times but she can't forgive me. we are broken up now. this conversation was over the internet. i had a problem with being hyperthroid, which causes irratibility, but i don't want to blame it on that. i put myself into psychotherapy. i was upset with her bc she didn't give me anything for my bday and bought her friend dinner for hers. also, i just left her a few days before and she didn't want to get together again for 2.5months so i was pretty upset.

This is my situation, I met a wonderful girl through my friend and we talked for a bit now. Friday night I took her out on a date and all went ok. I'm really starting to fall for her but the problem here is that she thinks I do not like her after that date on Friday night. She says I don't talk to her the same, and she says she gets the vibe that I do not like her. I really like this girl and I do not know what I'm doing wrong but I want this out of her mind.
