All the married adults talk to us kids saying "Don't get married!" etc. Several have told me that. So is marriage really that bad?

My husband had an affair with a bit more experienced person than me. He admitted to it and ended the affair. It has only been a week but everytime I try to get intimate with him he pulls away saying he feels bad and can't have sex with me until he deals with what happened. Is it because he enjoyed her more? Am I too boring? I love sex with him and want to reconnect with him on that level how can I do it?

My husband and I have been married for 6 years now. We have a son and daughter together. But lately I have been feeling so distant from him. Like we have no connection. He is deployed right now, but I still feel like I don't love him anymore. I talk to him everyday so I feel like I dont' miss him at all. Everytime I talk to him on messenger or on the phone I just feel weird. I don't know why or what, I just feel horrible. He has lied to me in the past about a few stuff, nothing big like cheating, but on other topics. I would never dream of leaving my husband while he is fighting for our country, but I am so tired of fighting and dealing with the same stuff. We fight weekly and then we are in a good mood with one another for a couple of days before we are fighting again. Then we fight about the same stuff over and over again. I'm just tired of fighting and don't know if I love him anymore. How do you know if you love your spouse? How do you know when it is time to leave them?

I have been divorced a few years now, when I would go out with someone my family would make such a big deal out of it and call and tell everyone in the area. If there is a family get together the first thing they always ask is when are you going to get married. I have since not attended any family get togethers as this is the only thing they gossip about. Frankly it is none of there business what i do in my life.

My husband and I separated due to his infidelity along with alcohol and anger issues. Divorce was my own decision, but i met this guy during the process. We really hit it off and have mostly talked and went on one date. The guy wanted to wait until I was divorced to see if it would lead anywhere. I've filed already and am in the process of moving. Should I see where this can lead? I'm afraid he wont wait and i dont want to get hurt again.

So, back in March my husband found his ex girlfriend from about 10 years ago. They were sending messages back and fourth and he would not allow me to read them; he deleted them. Ultimatley, I intervened and ended the messaging through her. I found out that he gave her a number but I am not sure what number it was. Just a week ago I caught him looking for her on myspace again. What should I do? I d not have a job and we have two children 6 and 2 years old. I do not feel the connection with him that I used too. I still love him but not sure that I want to be with him. I do not trust him at all.

I enjoy adult movies, however my wife seems to prefer reading erotic stories. Is this common? Do any of you prefer reading, or perhaps even writing, erotic literature as compared to watching a movie? If so, why???

I go to my hubby's friend's house with my toddler so that he gets to play with his toddler. Mostly, when his wife is at home. But my friend is like putting his hands on my shoulder, or holding my hands or putting his hands on my waist whenever his wife is not in sight. He keeps telling me how stunning I am and how much fun he has when I am around and I that I am so much fun to be with. Then one day, he kissed me on my cheeks when no one was there. (He came to my house coz my son was sleeping and I needed him to carry my bags). I didnt know how to react to this? What is this called? I know him like 5 years and he is never like this at all. Why this change?

I have recently seperated from my husband. I have a 1 year old daughter. My husband was someone who never loved me or his daughhter and just treated me like a doormat. That was the reason I moved out with my daughter. But now inspite of my family support I feel lonely! I have no one to talk to, no one to share my feelings...tell me how do I dispel this loneliness? What do I do? I love my daughter and enjoy my time with her yet I am lonely...

We meet at hotel off and on because we are seprated. The other nite we went out and drank 5 hours at a hotel and just talked i asked him if i wasn't going to sleep with him would he still hang out with me he said yes. But it couldn't be everyday like once a month hotels are expensive for him and he lives with brother so can't go there. Well we drink sleep together and the next day he wants to buy me shoes takes me to breakfast and gives me 200 for my 2 daughters christmas one girl is ours together. He says don't confuse things we are still divorcing but he never goes and files he didn't go over the divorce papers i brought with me as my excuse to meet him. I wonder if he is embarassed in front of his family because he thinks i tryed to deport him and so do they when he was in military because he didn't call or answer my calls four month ait and basic even when he had a cell phone on him so i felt used and hurt. I went to immigration and told him i was doing this and that but never did

When I talk to my grandparents and other members of the WW2 generation, I notice something interesting. They very rarely "dated" other people in the sense that we do today, where you go out, meet someone of the opposite sex, share a social and sex life together for a while, and maybe get married, but probably break up. Instead, they typically found a significant other very early in life, and after getting the families involved in the relationship, married at a young age and had lots of kids.

I wonder if this was the result of the times in which they lived, i.e. the Great Depression where dating someone you're attracted to was a luxury trumped by the need to enter a stable marriage and produce kids to help out with the house or business. People in this generation did not prioritize physical attractiveness or compatible personalities so much as they prized loyalty, companionship, economic stability, and family bonds.

Anyone have any thoughts on this, or different observations?

My husabdn and i went to a hotel the other nite talked for five hrs and drank. Whenever i said anything about us he would say don't talk about us. We are seperated. I was really nice to him even though he has broken my heart and i his. He said he wanted to go by me some shoes in the morning because i was drunk this made me cry because he didn't share his military bonus with me. He took me out for breakfast the next morning. He knows he could have sex with me for free because i love him of course he has to pay the hotel like 70 dollars and the alcohol is 40. so he said we can meet once a month it is expensive to him. But why does he do this if he doesn't care for me he doesn't have to buy me things and take me to eat i would b with him for free. My sister said this would b ok if you weren't divorcing but it's kinda LIKE prostitution. Even though we are seprated we are still married i don't see it that way aren't i as his wife suppose to sleep with him in turn as my husband he's suppose
