If your wife is a prude then it's a waste of time and effort.
This is the same woman who slammed you about the flowers so I'm doubtful lingerie would be well received by her.
Any woman who thinks lingerie is inappropriate (obviously not a gift you'd give to her other than in private) doesn't really know the power and sensuality lingerie can add to their lives......sexual or otherwise. These are the same women who think thongs are gross and uncomfortable.
Think about it.
If you think it would be well received.......draw her a nice bubble bath, a few candles in the bathroom, leave the present nicely wrapped in there for her......that should be the start of a wonderful evening.
Good Luck.

I wouldnt care to get any because I dont wear them.Thats what we call 2 min clothes...2 mins and its off..so why bother LOL
I like my coach purse, wallet, wristlet, keychain, and change purse I got and some Estee Lauder perfume gift set and makeup set, some pj's and a few movies and A CHIA PET!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes..I know everyone is saying "a CHIA PET" but I really wanted one and have for 18 yrs... every yr it was this on going joke that I never got one.SO when I opened it I hollered "MY CHIA PET!!!!!!!" My 4 yr old even laughed and she didnt know the 'joke' or anything about chia pets lmao
I love everything. My husband normally ask me what I want or I give a list for some ideas. Now I was picky about my coach purse...look up the prices and you'll know why LOL and I wanted to MAKE SURE I got the right one,so I picked it out.
He's usually pretty good at getting me what I ask for.I normally want girly stuff like I got this yr or stuff for the house ....crock pot, vacuum cleaner, waffle iron..stuff like that, that I need.....
If I got sexy nighties Id want the little red short nightie with the fuzzy around the boobs lol

It's a lucky woman that has a husband that wants to see HER in sexy lingerie. I understand the jist of your question, but realize that sex is love and love is expressed as sex, doing the dishes, attending concerts, filling your car up with gas, taking out the garbage, and sweeping the floor. The daily chores are mundane, but keep your sex life alive! That's how HE knows you love him!

It's great unless your wife is a prude. See the first answer for an example.

Of course it's appropriate......I would've loved something he picked out for me.....never got that as a gift tho.....pots and pans, blender, coffee pot.....ugh.....now I just buy my own lingerie, just for me and whoever I want to see it when I'm finally divorced :)

sure, I would love to get this kind of gift. It would show me that he thinks I'm sexy still. It's better than getting pots and pans or a new vacuum cleaner.

it is appropriate, however don't make that the only thing you give her. You run the risk of having her think you only value her for sex.

It's not inappropriate at any time, unless you know she's not interested in it.
When I've been in a relationship I didn't care what my partner bought me, I just hoped he put some thought and care into it (because I always did so with his gifts).
