Marriage & Divorce - 29 September 2007

In my divorce aggreement, it states the wife gets 25% of my annuall base income. AND 25% of any bonuses. I dont get bonuses with this company but I do get commision checks once a month. Do I have to give her 25% of my commisions? I have been in the past but I just re-read my agreement and noticed it never states commisions anywhere. What do you all think I should do?

My question is this... according to most religion, marriage is a holy union between those two people and God. If you are a secular person and do not necessarily believe in God will the marriage be harder to hold together because you dont have to respect God. If you want to get a divorce you can much easier because you have no regard for God. I know people get divorces all the time even when they made a holy union with God but it seems as though if the marriage was falling apart they could fix it keeping in mind that God brought them together and wants them to stay together. In a secular marriage they dont have this to pull them through. Would divorce be more likely at this point once the couple has decided they dont like each other anymore? What are your thoughts? Is secular marriage unholy so to speak and as a result more difficult to keep together in times of crisis?

I am 24 yrs old(teacher) and have been married to my husband who is 33 yrs old(airforce) about 2.5 yrs now finally divorcing.I have a daughter who is 4 yrs old from a previous relationship with an ex.bf and my husband has a 14 yr old son from from a previous marriage his moms in jail for drugs.My step-son has posters with nazi symbols and hate messages about blacks,jews,mexican(wet backs)and gays and keeps getting into fights at school with black kids.My daughter had a pet hamster that my step son killed to make her cry and on another occasion he put my daughter in the dogs cage.He sneaks out and cuts school.His father is in Germany but when he's home he only defends his son saying its a phase and blaims me or anyone else for any problem.I have tried everything even therapy.My step son has shoved me to the ground and choked me yet his dads family refused to allow police involvment saying they would back my stepson.Last straw was when ...

READ BEFORE YOU ANSWER::8 months ago I started dating a beautiful & intelligent woman whom I fell hard for.2weeks ago my g/friend(Kate) & I went home & striaght to my bedroom & locked the door.In the Mist of our love-making my Son spoke "Dad I can't open the door".Kate jump off & quickly covered us.I pulled myself together & let him out.

Firstly I was not expecting my son home Bc my wife was to pick him up 2 hrs ealier.Secondly the babysitter was home & she should ve known my son's whereabouts.Apparently my son fell asleep under my bed & we locked him in.

Ok my brother in law moved in with my husband and me 5 months ago-well my husband and I have since split up, but my brother in law is still living with me and we kinda have a relationship going. I won't tell his family cause I don't want them thinking that he is the reason his brother and I split-which he's not(his brother was verbally abusive-ignored me and his 2 kids and I had enough). The brother in law does things with me AND the kids and says he loves me and doesn't care what other people think. Am I crazy to pursue this ?? Does it sound like I just "traded up"??

Recently my g/f and I broke up and she hired a lawyer the very next day to claim common law marriage and state that half of my inheritance is hers. We were together for 6 years and within the last year was given the inheritance. I'm not sure she can, I live in California, and I came to the realization of her being a materalistic person and greedy... so I dumped her.

I used to have a reasonably good job and had a salary close to 100K during my divorce. I lost my job 6 months after the divorce and I have to pay child support of $850. She "agreed" in changing CS to $ 550 (we have 50% custody of 1 daughter 5yo). In the last 4 months (while I job hunt and work part time) I have been making less than her. What should I do? I know I should find an ok job in 3 or 4 months but it just makes me crazy to have to pay CS+insurance and make less than her. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you!

I've been mean lately and I'm being nice again but I made her so mad. What are some nice ways to make it up to her and make her feel loved enough again.

No I did'nr cheat or anything but there was an incedent that looked like something it was'nt.

Anyway I love her more than anything and I had a phase where I was a Grade A a s s hole.

What would you suggest I do to bring that love back like when we first got married?

I love her so much, we have 2 kids and I want to be with her forever, she is so sexy and a great wife. I just made some mistakes and took her for granted but I love her and I can't live without her.

We love each other, our love is true and every moment that we spend together is beautiful, but some times she says to me: "I love you but one day you are going to fall in love with another woman and you are going to forget me, I know that's going to happen"...and I'm like WHAT? what are you talking about, I love you and you know it! ied to a wonderful man who takes complete responcibility for her and loves her the way her father should. We have only been married a year in October. Any how, her biological father will not pay his child support, spend anytime with her and only calls her because his mother reminds him to. I don't care about the money. between my husband and I we make 125k a year. She is our only child so she is well taken care of. The issue is he will not sign off his rights and the court is not really helping.

Late last night when I got home from dinner with my husband, I asked him if he wanted to go outside to smoke a ciggie with me (and drink a beer). He said no. So I stayed outside talking iwth our neighbors (2 boys who are about 16). I stayed on my front step the entire time. It was about 2 when I came back ( about 1.5 hr later), I knocked on the door because he'd locked it. When he opened it, he started screaming at me that I'm a prostitute, a ho, and worse than trash and said I would have gone home with the boys. He yelled so much and put his finger in my face and pushed my arm away when I telling him, What are you talking about? He basically went off calling me all of the above, said I had no respect for him and I have no responsibilities and I needto stop acting like a child. I am very hurt by this. My husband is friends with his ex girlfriend. This doesn't bother me so much except he talks to her everyday and tries to hide it from me. On our honeymoon he told me how he wants to go and see her and her friends from their past relationship. The worst part is when i do find their emails or texts there is never any mention of me. I know she knows i exist (thanks to myspace) but i wish he would say something about me. I have asked him to stop talking to her before and he would just hide it. They don't have kids. Honestly, its the story of my life! I'm not sure if I'm imagining it but I've had loads of guys after me since I started dating years ago. Some even proposed to me but I was not in love with them. Then there have been a few that I was crazy in love with but they were less into me and therefore I didn't get them. I'm now 40+ so I'm really beginning to think its like some sort of cruel destiny! Ok people I know what you're thinking. It's not that I love my career more than my gf, but I cannot simply ignore what i've been working for for basically all my life. Part of my job is to go abroad, and like many people I simply can't afford (financially and because it's work) to take her with me.
