i got divorced in japan does the united states know that i am divorced plus we got married in america but got divorced in japan are we still married in america

I would go to the local court house in the US and make sure if you have to make sure and file the papers there . Talk to a US divorce attorney.

As far as I know yes, you are still married in the US. Unless of course you did it through the mail with the US court system. I'm not even sure it's possible through the mail.
