I am trying not to have pre marital sex anymore...(this is really tough). It is my feeling though that once someone agrees to marry me, that it is okay to engage in relations. In my eyes, I think God would understand that a wedding takes place months, sometimes a year atfer the engagement. I think a "wedding" is just a formality, once we have become engaged in my mind, you are making a vow to that person before God to spend the rest of your life with them. Why should you have to wait just because society wants an extravagant ceremony. In the old days, you got married the next day!!

My gf of 10 months still is in email contact with her last %^% buddy ( my gf was the other woman in that relationship). She has given me some white lies so I dont get "upset" with her on other issues. Is this appropraite behavior? Are white lies ok ? I feel I am on a one way street , her taking me giving , I dont think it is intentional but that is the way I feel. I need her to be my best friend and im not felling it anymore . She avoids hard discussions. I do have fellings for her and would like it to work .Please help me sort this out honestly . Thanks a ton!

I've been married to my wife for just over a year. And in that year, the relationship hasn't been equal. I wasn't a mean husband, but I sure as hell wasn't a good one. Basically she has been worn down over the course of 13 months and doesn't know if she has the emotional stamina to stay with me. We love each other... but we aren't IN LOVE with each other... :( Should I leave because it would be better then hurting her more... or stay... or what?

My husband is such a screwup. He treats me good one day and horrible the next. We've been together 10 years, two beautiful kids, we still have sex,(he is gorgeous), but I don't trust him. He's always disappearing for days. He has a criminal history. I've tried everything, but he keeps getting worse. I feel sorry for him and my kids but I know its over and has been. I'm supposed to see a lawyer next week. My heart used to open and now its slammed shut! I'm the best thing that will ever happened to him and when I am gone, he really will have nothing left.

Do you worry more about the wedding itself or life after the wedding. I've often seen people on talk shows talking about how they didn't know life would be like this after the wedding. They thought everything would just go perfectly. I think people should be preparing more for their future together, than the wedding. I mean which is more important of the two.

You are married with some problems. You have 3 children with your spouse. Two of which are biologically not yours. You love them all the same. At one point your spouse sleeps with the ex. You forgive your spouse and try and move on and honor your Vows. Six months later the person whom your spouse slept with is in the hospital going through a routine operation that suddenly turns serious. Life and death serious. Now your spouse is naturally worried. The children might or might not lose a parent. But now your spouse is at the hospital for the last three days. twelve hours a day. Your spouse tells you that they feel compelled to be there. That to please be understanding. But you have very little inside you to do so. Your still trying to build up your trust for this person. Your spouse. Is it wrong to be angry at this? Considering this is the same person your spouse slept with six months before. Is it wrong to feel nothing for this person whose life is hanging in the balance.

I am a stay at home mom and my husband runs a cabinet shop. I take care of just about everythng that needs to be taken care of in my house meaning the 2 kids, the 3 dogs, any and all house work, paying the bills, grocery shoping, everything! My husband works a full time job + ,enginerring and pretty much just running everything for the owner. So he does sometimes work 60 or 70 hours a week but he acts like I don't do anything. He make commets to me that I need to get a real job. He treats me like I am a maid and it should all get done and he shouldn't have to help do anything because he works so much. Did I mention I aslo run a daycare from my home and do make some money, it's only a small amount compared to what he makes but it is something. I feel like most days I get up and to work before he does and am still going when he gets home, but yet I feel like I 'm treated like I'm not equal to him just becasue he gets payed so much for working. Equals or not?

June 27th 2006 I was awarded primary physical custody of my 12 month old daughter. July 28th my father passed and he was laid to rest on August 2, 2006. My ex/child's father mother started to email me and stress how she wants a relationship with me and her granddaughter. Thinking she was sincere for apologizing for her wrongs I confided in her about my grief and desire to go back home to be with family and get help with raising my daughter. August 23rd I discovered that his mother forwared all my emails to her son (who by the way is a woman beater and I had him arrested and I left and have a restraining order against along with 28 police reports and statements of his violent temper which is mother never cares to see or address). He has opted to not be in my or our daughters life. It will be a full month that he has not seen her, but yet he was requesting my emails to his mother to be sent to him. "Do not let her know that I am sending you her emails" from his mother--said his mom.

My son hired an attorney to get his divorce. This was not a custudy battle and there was not any property to fight over. The attorney kept this thing going on for over 2 years and my son paid him around $6,000. And then demanded $2,000 more within 1 week or he would drop him. Of course he dropped my son because he did not have the money. So he had to represent himself with his x wife and her attorney. They set up a meeting and everything was resolved. It seems the only issue was support. She wanted it lowerd. Now my son is suing his attorney in small claims. But he is very nervous. I think he has a good case. Does any one have any advise or help in any way? Thanks

I am 25 and newly single. I want to get married and I want to know how you know your with the person you will marry. And how much time you should give a relationship before moving on.
