Well in my state (wisconsin) the law is that if the child is 12 and up they may go to the custody thing and actually have a say in what they want. They are considered old enough to know who they would be better off with.

Legal or not why on earth would you consider putting your children in that position???? Its a grown up problem, a grown up sistuation and it should never, ever be put on the shoulders of a child!

its not recommended, unless the judge asks for them there. You could bring the kids but they may be asked to step out, so bring a sitter too.

yea, it's so they kind of get a say in it.. my cousin did that and one moved with his mom the other was stupid and stayed with his mean father that he hates..
