I have been married for a while. I do everything for my spouse & their happiness. I go out of my way to make them comfortable, not because I have to but because I love them.
Yet I feel my basic needs are being ignored. My spouse has hobbies that are done without me...things I have done with them, but find no true interest in.
I have told my spouse many times what I need to be happy, all reasonable & I don't keep my needs for them to figure out. I am straight forward.
My spouse does it for a few days, then resumes to being ignorant.
I don't know what else to do. This negligence has left me feeling useless, unappreciated & depressed.
What more can I do to get them to realize I really need to be taken care of & acknowledged? (just as I do for them)

If couples learned to work out their differences, would this help in reducing the poverty in our communities?

I am going to visit the parents tonight, and I want to convey something of substance, beyond the fact I am educated, and am doing well making $$.

I feel like I have to convince her mother of who I really am.

Any help would be grateful. Thank you.

I have a relationship with a man, way older than I am. Let's say about twice my age, I LOVE HIM !!!! BUT, he is married. I would be the happiest woman alive if he was to leave her, but I do not want to destroy a marriage. I really love him, he is the nicest, sweetest, most loving , caring person that I have ever met. What should I do, fight for who I love, or let it go???
He tells me , "te quiero", but he is married, and no matter what, I do to show him my love, he tells me that I am confused, that he is too old for me that, i need someone my age. I am 21.

I was wanting some real life experiences to be posted. My longtime GF (7 years) and I need some sexual counseling (she has no desire anymore, the 1st 5 years were great, we have talked and talked and we decided on counseling) stories/results. I have talked to older men (we're only 23) and they tell me to run while I can b/c desire doesn't change, meaning we can go for counseling but it will never change the desire factor. I don't want to get married and have kids and then get stuck with no sex for the rest of my life, does counseling work? I hope this doesn't sound selfish, I love her and have been completely faithful even though we haven't had sex in two years. I'm just trying to make a life decision. I would prefer female advice/experience, most older guys have told me to leave before marriage and kids, while I still have a chance. I wanted to hear the woman's perspective. Thanks...

I have been seeing a great guy for a bit now. He's kind, sincere, and I am very attracted to him. I am in my mid-twenties, and am a widowed single mom. I'm not in a place where i want to date for the fun of it-- I'm looking for a relationship that has the potential to be long term. I think this guy is great-- we have physical chemistry, we communicate well, and he adores my 5 yr old son, (although I do not allow them to spend much time together, and my son is not aware that it's a dating realtionship) His family loves me too. BUT, he's Catholic, and has even attended a Catholic university.... I'm pretty liberal myself, and I have no fixed religion. I couldn't see myself practicing his religion, but I'm not offended by it. I am not in support of the war efforts-- although I'm not strongly against it...He actually would like to apply to be an officer....
Are we too different? Other than religion and politics, we share the same views on family, committment, humor and all else.....

A man who is rich beyond belief and buys you anything you want BUT treats you like crap and is so so when it comes to sex OR a man with a moderate income who treats you like gold and satisfies you sexually.

My husband cheated a few times while we were married. Then after my 4th daughter was born he left us. We were together for 8 years. I raised the girls by my self then a year later he comes around trying to take my girls from me.. He couldn't. Then he said all these bad things about me and made CPS come out and lied.
2years later he wants to work things out.. I miss him. I miss my family but I don't know what to do.. I don't trust him but I miss him. How should I handle this?

My husband and I have thought about buying another set of Wedding rings for the both of us, we have lost the set like two times already, or I should say, I have lost mind.I know that what matters is our happiness and no materials stuff will keep us together. We were seperated for almost one year, and we got back together,my husband plans on getting me the rings for our anniversary, which would be on September the 4th,which is another question, should I say seven years or six when asked?because we were seperated for almost that one year in between. So, my questions are, would it be ok if we where the rings when we get them, because I do plan to get married by the church someday, but do not know when, but we are already married civilly. Also, would I count that almost one year missed or not when saying how many yrs we've been married? Please,no smart answers.

I have been married for 7 years now and recently an old highschool sweetheart of mine told me she is coming to my area to visit. She asked if i would like to get together just to say Hi. Now i have no interest in her romantically but wouldn't mine catching up a bit. My wife I do not think would mind (of course I would discuss it wither her before hand). however if the situation were reveresed i would not be ok with her meeting up with her ex. so the questions are 1 should i visit with the HS sweetheart 2 should i feel badly about being such a hypocrite?

If you and your sweetheart (bf, gf, lover, husband or wife) are forced to be geographically apart for quite a while, and they would ask you to have an 'internet date' with them, meaning, you would both get on line with microphones, cameras, etc, and talk, and also 'perform' in order to fulfill each others fantasies, would think that to be strange or would you see it as just another way of 'being together'? My friend is under pressure from her husband, cause he has been in another country for a while and he wants her to 'perform' for him in front of a webcam. As she said she was not comfortable with that, he said he has been alone for a while and that he may consider 'looking for gratification somewhere else'. What do you think she should do? At first he seems to accept her decision and respect it, but she says he will bring up the issue again every time he has the chance. She is afraid.

My husband & I bought a life time R.V., camping, lodging packet that is from coast to coast, we are now members but we were misled in some areas by the salesmen, (he may have mixed up his information due to other states involved) anyway for our older children to stay there it is free if we aren't there but if we are they have to pay $25.00 per night also if one of our other children are there we were told they would only have to pay $8.00, we were also told that we are garenteed availability yet when we mad planes for this week-end we were very limited! We have three days to get our money back, would you keep the package or ask for the $ back? (A hint - the cost is in the thousand mark)
