My husband & I bought a life time R.V., camping, lodging packet that is from coast to coast, we are now members but we were misled in some areas by the salesmen, (he may have mixed up his information due to other states involved) anyway for our older children to stay there it is free if we aren't there but if we are they have to pay $25.00 per night also if one of our other children are there we were told they would only have to pay $8.00, we were also told that we are garenteed availability yet when we mad planes for this week-end we were very limited! We have three days to get our money back, would you keep the package or ask for the $ back? (A hint - the cost is in the thousand mark)

Yes I checked on-line first.
I know it is coastly but if we camp or R.V it cost nothing for the rest of our lives no matter what state we're in and in some countries as well... We have already spent thousands on hotels and county parks within the last two years, we would go more but can't afford to we thought we would be able to go more this way and our payment per month is only $60.00 we have already spent that this month at the county park...?????!!!!!!

You know that you want the money back because you are already having second thoughts about the process of getting availability on your terms.
Get the money back and cancel the deal, Good luck!

Sounds like a scam. Get money back say thanks but no thanks and when they ask why tell them because you didnt get the deal you were promised. It is not your problem that the salesman didnt know what he was talking about. If this went wrong think about the future and what else may arise, and will they accmodate you or throw their hands up and say "Oh sorry, nothing we can do"? Sounds fishy. Any trip can be planned out and you can find places to camp, lodge, etc. on your own for cheaper. Just make it a family thing to plan your trips together...that way it is like a year-round project planning. A lot can be done online as well, I have planned all of my vacations soley frm the computer.
Good luck, DONT GET RIPPED OFF!!

I would ask for a refund sounds like a typical sales pitch for you to buy into a package that would cost you less if you didn't use the membership. Lots of RV'ers do not use those type of packages because of the cost and availability of the sites. I would also check out the company with the BBB and see if others have similar complaints. Did you check the Internet to see if there is information on this company.

Ask for your money back. We did something like this once with vacation condos and it turned out to be a waste of time , there were all these hidden charges that kept changing and when we wanted to go away there was nothing available. It seemed to us that the only time to go was mid week and the places available we had no interest in, and that was not what we were promised. You might have a fight on your hands we did so good luck!!!

Timeshare deals are almost by definition not deals and are usually ripoffs. $720 a year whether you use it or not is no deal. Suppose you wait and then one of you gets sick the week you scheduled. Does this plan let you go a month later no charge or are you stuck for another 6-12 months? Was there a huge lump payment to start this plan, in the thousands? I guarantee that they'll try every trick in the book to keep your deposit and keep you making payments.
If it's a scam, they'll keep delaying the refund till they can solit town and disappear. I would also recommend contacting the campgrounds you're familiar with directly, not relying on numbers listed in the brochure. ask them of their experiences with this company. If they never heard of it and it listed them in the brochure, call the cops or FBI immediately about fraud.

I would get money back. if you weren't given specific conditions stating all possible costs, you have no way of knowing if you can save enough to make this time share worthwhile. there are several timeshare liquidators that sell previously owned r.v. packages at discounted packages. look on the net and check if they are affiliated with the "Good Sam" organization . they are usually great to keep u from being scamed.

I would get your money back. Don't let them know you may re-buy after you check it out. Stay firm and don't let them talk you back into keeping it. I don't know much about RV camping but when you tent camp it's a flat rate most of the time. You should be able to take your RV and find better rates than what you are paying the company.

Sounds too difficult. Now that you know what things to watch out for...back out and do a more thorough search for some kind of time-sharing, RV thing. Then DECIDE. If you still want that package---then it should still be available to purchase. Also, anyone that needs your money right away----isn't honest.

Get your money back now honey! If you are already having so many problems, and have been misled, imagine what it's going to be like when you don't have that option of returning the package.

get your money back, if you found out this soon about problems with the deal, what do you think will be later when your 3 days are up! Get out of the deal, anything too good to be true, is just that!
