I'm divorceing him but still he said he loved/loves me and yet he chucked beer cans at me(full cans) and i can't for the life of me figure out why it's my fault he had do do things like that.

A man should not hit a woman. It all comes to how he was raised by his parents. If his father abused his mother and he was present during some of the abuse, then, he may not see anything wrong with treating his woman the way he wants. You did nothing wrong and I commend you for getting out, while you still can. Good Luck!

Of course it's not your fault! He's assigning blame to you since he's too immature to take responsibilities for his own actions, and doesn't want the blame. It's not your fault, a real man doesn't hit women or throw things at them, and learn to read the signals a man's immature and don't make the same mistake again!
