A friend of mine ran into an ex of mine who told her I broke his heart. He was a player! He cheated on me! I dumped him and never looked back. What did he expect? I could and did do better.

Good for you! At least someone out there isn't putting up with a dirty guy's foolishness! It's good to know that not every woman will sit there and put up with a guy's cheating, using the excuse "A man will be a man"...."All men cheat"...."Guys will be guys"....because that isn't true. Guys expect all girls to be stupid and so "in love" with them, and put up with their crap. But not all women do. You go girl!

It would depend on why he cheated. There is a category of man that needs no reason. They want a home life , something solid they can depend on. They always have excuses to go out and are usually unreachable.

They are easily identified by where there money goes. They have a tendency to give necessity Items as personal gifts.

There are a few categories, but he is the worst , simply because it doesn't matter how good or bad you are.

In a relationship , most other men need a justifiable reason, because of guilt.

I have read that a man is more likely to stay with a woman that cheats than the other way around. But if anyone catches the other they should not be surprised when the you are leaving.

(*laughter*) Similar situation..except I ran into my ex (who cheated on me)..who told me he knew he'd never be happy because he and I weren't together.

I pointed out that if he hadn't cheated we probably would be together, so he had no one to blame but himself...followed by a very casual, "sucks to be you". Which wasn't intended to be mean, just a statement of fact...still probably one of those moments when I should have engaged the internal editor.

Oh well...

Honestly, I don't think they expect to be caught..or they believe we love them SOOO much and need them SOOO much that we'll put up with it. Silly them.

Men like that are just clueless. They think they can just do whatever they want with no consequence. They need to learn to quit thinking with their penises, and think with their BRAIN!

the_secrets_keeper: thanks, but not ALL women cheat (I know not all men do either)....but I have NEVER cheated and NEVER will. And if the chick left him after finding out that he cheated...I would say that she was pretty SMART...not DUMB.

Unfortunately men have this obscene belief that they are entitled to do whatever they figure they can get away with...what is the big deal...you never miss a slice off a cut loaf...unfortunately a male hormone brain thing....I should know...I am a male...obviously the fella you refer to never grew up....

Then if life worked so well for you why are you complaining to us? The man was a cheater, why do you expect him to tell the truth? Its easier and sounds better if i say: She broke my heart rather than the bit'ch was too dumb, I cheated on her more than once.
You need to move on. And while we are at it: MEN AND WOMEN CHEAT ALIKE. It's not a man thing anymore

Some think that we are supposed to understand that they are man and " men are supposed to cheat" and I do believe that they really may love you they just want the cake and to eat it to. And for most women that doesn't work.

Some guys think that since most women refer to guys as dogs that they have to live up to that and actually be a dog and you're suppose to understand and sit back and put up with their ****

I suppose they are trying to rationalize or justify their actions. By putting the blame onto you for letting him go must relieve some guilt and/or feeling of anxiety.
