However, the life span of females is longer. Once you start reaching the 50's plus age bracket, women outnumber men. By the 60's and 70's, the difference becomes dramatic... about 2 or 3 to one.
Since each marraige matches male to female one to one (ignoring gay marriage for a moment), the ratio for the 20's to 30's is about 4-5% more single males than females.

I dont know for sure...but it should be about the same right?
because there should be a 50%male/female birth ratio so the numbers start out even and when people get in a relationship it removes one from each pool of people...I mean there are outside factors like polygamy and homsexuality but that shouldnt make much difference..
