Marriage & Divorce - 19 August 2006

Me and my husband is been married for 7 years. I was having this feeling that him and one of my friend is hiding something from me. Recently I found out that he cheated on me with one of my friend. I found out thru cellphone bill. Now we are trying to work things out but it seems that it's not working. I still love him but not as much as before. I am scared that he might cheat on me again or still cheating on me. We have 2 kids and we both don't believe that we need to stay together coz of the kids. I need some advice. Should I stay or should move on????

I've heard stories of people not being accepted. either because of race or class. I'm a poor, shy introverted person and i fear that whatever girl i marry .. her family will probably not like me. Can you just ignore it and move on, or will that hatred be a big part in your life? women and men are welcome to answer

No physical intimacy as far as I know. But the husband had a very intense phone (text messaging) relationship with this 17 year old girl for about a month. I found out because our phone records showed text messaging (in and outgoing messages) from this number about 60-70 texts a day. I knew immediately there was something going on. I asked him about what was going on and with whom? he said that it was just his old work buddy. so i did some more investigating, and I found out who it actually was. i asked him straight to his face, is it "(this girls name)"? he denied it still. it took him 4 days to finally tell me what really was going on. (as if i didn't know). should i be worried? i really just feel so pissed off about this.

She used to be all over me while we were dating and when we were first living together. We would have sex at least 3-4 times a week and it was great.

Things started slowing down over time and at present, after being together for seven years and married for almost three, I am lucky to get it once a month. I have pretty much given up on trying to initiate sex. She almost always shoots me down or sometimes reluctantly gives me a hand if you know what I mean.

I am getting very frustrated, What am I doing wrong or not doing? Is there something wrong with her? Is this fair to me?

I met my new husband 2 years ago in his brothers bar. I had just had a baby 3 weeks prior. Right away he was amazing. He adopted my daughter and we just had a son 4 months ago with Cerebral Palsy. My husbands attitude towards me and my daughter is short tempered and he is always in a bad mood with me. He works and I stay home to take care of our children. I take my son to therapy and the dr. all the time. He doesn't show me any affection unless I beg for it, and I am tired of him not giving me more of the attention that I need. He says that he has a lot on his mind ut I do to and I just can't take his attitude anymore. We were wed on July 15 of this year, and everytime I try to tell him how I feel he laughs and gets more upset. Do I need to ask for a divorce this soon?

My husband seems to become really angry and defensive towards me over things that if anyone is going to be offended by it should be me. It seems like we can not talk about our differences or he gets angry. Actually, he can talk about what he sees as my flaws as. I am open to this, but there just never seems to be any discussion about it, he seems to just want to tell me how I am (which is never a positive) and there is no other acceptable explanation. If I try to mention my feelings towards something he has done that has hurt me, he seems to change into a different person. If I try to talk to him about this, he just says I am the one doing that, he becomes extremely offended, begins to accuse me of trying to insult him, and it just seems to get worse from there. I don't understand this. Does this sound familiar to anyone, and would you have any advice on how to improve this situation?

We have been together over 6 years and I have no reason to believe he has ever cheated yet I am still paranoid. I accuse him of cheating or a desire to ( AND CALL IT JOKING ). Then when he gets angry I ask him why are you angry? I was only joking he is still upset. I have only done this 20 or so times in the 6 years we've been together ,why can he not see the fun and humor in accusing him of cheating on me ( again and again). He is upset by this sort of thing pretty much every time I do it . When will he think having accusations directed at him is fun and humerous. After all (I AM ONLY JOKING).

I've had trust issues with him before and I'm just tired of being lied to. He always tells me that the reason he keeps the truth from me is because he is afraid it will hurt me more. I've stressed to him more than once that I NEED to know the truth. I have been with my husband for 6 yrs and marriedfor 2. I have always had trouble with his mother and so has anyone that dates his sister. His mother is a control freak. She uses him and his sister for money, she is a lazy bar fly. I think she trys to break us up because I have gotten in the way of him supporting her like he did before we were married. When he talks to her he becomes another person, mean and angry, calls me psycho and other names. We have split many times because of her. This year they got into a spat and didn't talk for 5 months. It was the best 5 months we ever had. He was nice, never called me names either. Now they started talking again and he has become mean, tells me he isn't happy with me and calls me psycho, out of the blue, unprovoked just out of the blue. We have a 3 yr old daughter together. I don't know what to do. He is just a jeckyl and hyde when he talks to her. Please help.

some one asked what my response was to my wife after she told me the she had been unfaithful to me. Well hear it is I looked her in the eyes and said " I though you may have and I love you no matter what. you are here with me now and thats all that matters" This really suprised myself that i didn't go off the deep end that is why I asked for your responses to it. I guess trying to make sure i"m not Crazy
We did talk about it details of it and I forgave her but have not forgotten,still to early to have healed. did or do I use it against her NO. have we had fights since Yes, I feel its pointless to throw it up in her face sorry I'm not that vindictive.But it had giving us the opportunity to talk about other things that we never talked about before
and we have become a whole hell of alot closer now than before

worked a PART day and stayed home to clean the garage. He mentioned that someone was next door (A FEMALE ANIMAL SITTER) coincidentally someone we were going to hire but I didnt feel confortable about using. And coincidentally was next door watching birds Hmmmm... very peculiar, he said he had nothing to do with her being over there. I JOKED saying "oh no wonder you worked a short day" that did not go over to well, he became very very mad.. if you arent guilty of anything why would you become so angry, when I am innocent about something I just let it roll off my back, but my husband gets very angry. Ok so maybe it isnt always just a joke but if he has nothing to do with her being over there why act so angry????
