My husband is very emotionally distant. Last night we were having a typical argument about sex.
He is never in the mood. We have only been married about 2 months. Then he really hurt my feelings. I was crying in the other room. He just got up and closed the door to our bedroom without even checking on me. I am very hurt by this and I thought it was really mean. What should I do?

My friend is 26, his wife is 23.

He met her and was engaged to her in about a month.

They rushed to get married and knew each other only 9 months when they married.

They have been married a year.

The first month he was married his wife told him the following:

They weren't meant to be.

She realizes she was NEVER in love with him.

She loves him as a person, but she is unhappy with him and wants a divorce.

He loves her and has talked her into trying for another 6 months but she said she knows in her heart they should divorce.

They went to counseling and my friend tries his best to be romantic and stuff, but his wife says he can't force her to fall in love with him.

Is thier marriage hopeless?

I feel bad for him.

He is religious and prays that God will make their marriage work. But I don't think it will when she is not in love with him.

I'm divorcing and have three boys. People tell me that there will be a lot of people who will want to date me, but I just keep thinking that they will think I'm just out looking for a replacement Dad. I wouldn't be doing that at all, they have a father, but the reality of it is I have to consider my kids in every situation, including that. Will men just assume thats what I'm doing?

We don't have any kids and have been married for three and a half years. Can I make him get me my own house? Is it within my rights to ask for my own place?

I could share "time" with my husband all the time. He says he would be more attractive if I lost more weight. I am 5'9 and a size 10. We first met when I was 15 and dated for a couple of years then lost track of each other. I came back in the picture 20 years latter and he still thinks of me as the little size 2 I once was. I will never look the way I used to but am happy with how I look now. Why can't he be?

I just recently found a porno magazine that my husband had been hiding from me. He said that him and his friend bought it just for the hell of it. How do I react? I am so mad but hurt at the same time. Isn't that like disrespect towards me?

Have you ever been to a wedding where the bride or groom didn't show or said that they "can't go through with it?" If so, what happened? Why did they change their mind? How did the guests react?

I have been married for over 10 yrs... we have 3 kids, all elementary school age. He has never volunteered to take the kids anywhere with him, he has to be told to help get them ready for school and bed, and when he isnt working he is sleeping.. When we sit down and discuss anything he starts crying saying.. I dont want to loose you and the kids, yall are my life.... How in the heck to I make him see that we feel like we come in second and third to his buddies and his work?.... He is also saying.. Just because I am not home, doesnt mean I am out having fun... leaves work to play golf, stays after work to play basket ball, and weekends plays golf or helps his buddies..... Why do they act like this?

I have been married for 13 years. Husband is older (27 years)hard worker and very very good provider. The last year I have felt very lonely seem to be bring up our two children on my own . He has the been there done that . He is a good father but rarley get involved or excited with my very active lifestyle. I have started to hang around with alot more people my age and am having fun. I find myself craving attention from others wishing for a relationship that I can grow with. I have not had sex in over a year with my husband as I have been honest with my feeling and don't feel I can be intimate with someone whom I do not feel close with. He has been patient and not pushed me thinks councelling is a waste of time. He has stated that yes he did ignore my needs and want to try agian but now I feel so distant I do not know how to open up to him. In the back of my head I feel I should live my life find someone who I can shore it with but think will this happen agian with someone eles.

We have 3 kids (15g, 11g, 8b). In addition to doing all the lawn/garage work and cleaning, I also do 95% of the laundry and folding. The girls put away their clothes and I put away the 8 year old's clothes along w/ my own and my wife's. I also do the large majority of the cleaning of the kitchen and load & empty the dishwasher. My wife and kids do most of the other chores. Do you think this is fair?

I tell my husband how much I love him. I tell him that he means everything to me. I to make love to him, but he never seems to want to. So I just stopped trying. I show him affection. I am sick of being the one that does everything. He only says he loves me if I say it first. He doesn't let me go out. He controls the money. He controls the cars. He controls where I am, what I do, who I talk to, and my friends. HE CONTROLS MY LIFE. Yet nobody see's it not his family, not his friends, and not my family. They all take his side and look at me like I'm a *****, because thats what he made them all think. He doesn' let me do anything, why would I act like a *****? He is making me go crazy. I went through a F*CKING MENTAL BREAKDOWN the other night and all he does is roll his eyes at me and tell me "You have no clue how good you have it because of me." Well you know what I would rather be dead then have the things you give me. Yet why can't I bring myself to leave him? I am nobody without him..

When I was away my husband has been watching porn.I feel bad as he had spend nearly 12 hours on computer even on my birthday. I found it when I was deleting some files and he said his friends used the computer but not him. But recently after 10 months he admitted it. I feel cheated and bad. I will be never able to trust him again. He says all husbands do that (his friends). Is that true. I think he is sick?

I have heard men say that they are genetically programmed to seek multiple partners, therefore monogamy is nearly impossible for them. Ok, playing along with that theory...Women are genetically programmed to seek out the alpha male, the biggest, strongest, most attractive, and best provider. Wouldn't it stand to reason that if we are "slaves to our genetics", that alot of men would be out of luck as far as getting women? Also, aren't we at least a couple of steps above the average animal so we should be able to control our "primitive urges" to sleep with whatever is available? I hope to hear some intelligent, not mean or spiteful, thoughts on this.
