We have 3 kids (15g, 11g, 8b). In addition to doing all the lawn/garage work and cleaning, I also do 95% of the laundry and folding. The girls put away their clothes and I put away the 8 year old's clothes along w/ my own and my wife's. I also do the large majority of the cleaning of the kitchen and load & empty the dishwasher. My wife and kids do most of the other chores. Do you think this is fair?

I started working from home about 1.5 years ago. Knowing that I would be able to help out more around the house, I asked her what her #1 least favorite chore around was........she said LAUNDRY!

Well, I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. Do YOU think it's fair? Or do you think it's not fair? My husband and I have 2 kids, and we tend to have very traditional roles (I stay home with the kids, he works), but that sounds about right to me. But if it ever gets to be too much or you'd just like more help, it is okay to ask for it on occassion. Sometimes even I can get overwhelmed by it all.

Yes. Not only is it fair I think it's rare and she is lucky to have you. I do everything around the house, I mean everything! I often wonder what type of an example I'm setting for my children. My husband hasn't had to do laundry in 10 years, or cook, or clean so it makes it hard on just the one person. She should be really lucky. You have to let some things slide at times; It must be hard to juggle both, but it's doable I should know, I don't get a break; and I work from home too. Keep up the great work, it has to make for great sex; less resentment on her part, she must know she is a lucky woman? Best to you!

Well yeah. Think about it, if the roles were reversed she'd feel the same way you are feeling right now. Working from home gives you the advantage of getting things done. There is no such thing as a 50/50 relationship. That's my own opinion.

Do you have a brother? LOL. God bless you. For being a man and a Great example to your children. Often life isn't "fair", but you are one of those souls whom is leaving their mark here through their children without even realizing it. How team work should be is usually misunderstood or miscommunicated or misinterpreted. I guess there is no slacking off for you because you have good character. Good work and well done. Again, God bless you.
