Marriage & Divorce - 12 July 2006

It's an extreme question that I don't really mean, but seriously, we work our asses off and get a whopping hour a week of sex. I really don't mean it as a trade off, but eventually we as guys feel used for our checks!

I'm really not a feminist. I'm glad women can have jobs and vote, but sometimes I think we lost a lot in the women's movement too. Men don't seem to know what their place in society is anymore. Maybe I'm just a romantic or a traditionalist, but I think that men should be the heads of the family. They should be the spiritual leaders of their family and if they are good men they will know to listen to their wives and respect them, anyway. These days women ask men out, some even propose to them. Women chose to have children even if their spouse isn't ready yet. Is this productive? Why not let men have control of certain things? Society seems to be imbalanced the other way now, where women have too much power and men feel powerless. What do you think?

the situation is we have been married over ten years ,but for last couple she seems to feel we have been going our seperate ways.somewere along the way a few months ago she started working with a home builder who is pretty successful.for the last 2 months it has gotten where we never talked.now i no why!!!!she says she fell in love with him.he was there for her when i wasnt.i think she never give me a chance to be there for her.well i found out three weeks ago and we were trying to make things better and she said we could maybe working things out ,but then she told me she was still confused.all long she has been telling both she loves us and she just needs time to think.she says that if she only knew what it would be like with him maybe she would not even really want him.so my bright idea ,i told her to take a week out of town with him and see if anything is there.they have never had anything other than a hug together.did i just make the stupidist mistake of my life.because it hurts!!!

Is it right for my husband to want watch another couple have sex while we do it??? I think its not right, but I want to make him happy. I am a christian and have made my own mistakes in the past. After a month of discussions with mom about a separation dad was unexplainably removed from the home. He was later contacted by a counselor in the area, an allegation had been made of sexual abuse. He immediately moved from the house, interviewed with childrens social services, completed a polygraph, interviewed with law enforcement. All of which resulted in the accusation being contrived. However, to date (one year later) he still has had no contact with his children. How does the daughter begin to tell the truth, when everyone in her world is believing her? ( Including a 17 year old boyfriend who was involved with the allegation) Mom couldn't be happier, she is getting what she wants, maybe even a sizeable alimony check as well.

My boyfriend left me and our son two weeks ago,and has now found a flat to rent thanks to his mother,when he left he said he didn`t know if he was doing the right thing but now two weeks later he says he knows it was the right thing to do.He now wants to come over and collect the rest of his stuff but i`ve told him that it`s been binned.He also says he wants to keep in contact with our son who has learning difficulties but i`m not sure if i want that,part of me wants to hurt him as much as i`m hurting and i`m so angry that he thinks he can just walk out on us and be content with visiting for an hour or so once a week whilst i`m left with my sons tantrums etc,He also thinks we can be friends which i`m just not willing to do as only a fortnight ago he was my boyfriend!I still love him but know he doesn`t feel the same way and i think maybe it would be for the best if i didn`t see him for a while to i get my life sorted out and i know i wont be able to handle seeing him walk out the door.

I've been talking to this guy and he tells me he loves me. He makes everything seem so pretty when he talks to me; he says that in some way or some how i did something right but i don't know if i should believe him. Sometimes he makes me feel as if i am the only person in his life and i'm not! He's married and has two kids. what should i do? my husband and i went to a club the other night w/a bunch of other ppl. some we knew, some we didnt. while dirty dancing w/my husband this woman i had just met came up behind me and started grinding on me. I've been w/ my boyfriend for two years. He was married before and has a 5yr old son. His ex is completely out of the picture. I'm 26 and he's 28. We've lived together for 6months. His family adores me. I take his son to school and he talks about us getting married in the future and accidentally calls me his wife sometimes. He's really sweet and (I don't think) he takes advantage of me. Sometimes I wonder if he's ever going to ask me to marry him. I really really really love him. I give it one more year and I'm out if he doesn't.
My friends tell me to give it 6 months. Any advice?

Unfortunately, my ex and I can't communicate without fighting. My boyfriend on the other hand gets along pretty darn well with his ex. I'm 23, going through a divorce, spit up with my wife back in late August 2005. I was so crushed, I thought I would never love again. I didn't treat women the same after that, just used them as objects, since that all my ex-wife turned out to be (freakin whore!). A friend of mine is engaged to a guy she does not love and she says she will never love him. I'm trying to talk her out of it but she feel she will have more control in the marriage as long as she has no true feeling for him. I say they both deserve better. I am the father of two young girls, Jean (9) and Louisa (4), and have parental responsibility and for both my daughters. I have also been granted two contact orders from the family courts, both of which were ignored by my ex. After numerous returns to court seeking enforcement of the contact orders, the court appointed a guardian to represent my daughters and issued a prohibited steps order against my ex preventing her from removing the children from the jurisdiction of the court. During September 2005 my ex disappeared with my girls (evidence indicates she took them to Spain). The International Child Abduction unit has liaised with the Spanish authorities, but to no avail. An International arrest warrant is likely to be issued against my ex in the near future. I have not seen or had any contact with my girls since 15th May 2005. I miss them terribly and worry about there current welfare. Any suggestions about what to do next?
