if your ex was really the love of your life as you say, then you would still be together. she is not. you just want her to be.

People mess up, haven't you ever done something that wasn't right? No, it doesn't make it right, but if it had been the other way around how would it be? I know most men have different standards for themselves and their wives. Is she sorry? Does she want to work things out? If this is the only discretion and she's sorry and wants to work things out, why not try? What do you have to lose now? True love never ends, give her another chance, but even though she has consequences she has to suffer, like your trust, don't hold it over her head continually. Try writing her a poem about forgiveness and how you love her and that God will see you through, There were alot of people who made mistakes in the Bible, God made better people out of them, maybe she's on her way to being a wonderful wife and mother!

Maybe talk to her in "normal" conversation instead of being so poetic. Maybe that is the problem and she did what she did.
