After a month of discussions with mom about a separation dad was unexplainably removed from the home. He was later contacted by a counselor in the area, an allegation had been made of sexual abuse. He immediately moved from the house, interviewed with childrens social services, completed a polygraph, interviewed with law enforcement. All of which resulted in the accusation being contrived. However, to date (one year later) he still has had no contact with his children. How does the daughter begin to tell the truth, when everyone in her world is believing her? ( Including a 17 year old boyfriend who was involved with the allegation) Mom couldn't be happier, she is getting what she wants, maybe even a sizeable alimony check as well.

First, if the divorce isnt final yet, the fathers atty can present new evidence of mother possible coercing daughter to make the accusation. If he is being charged ,same thing applies at trial of his atty can file charges against mother for aiding in a crime of at least false report, and for covering it up after the fact, to clear is his name, If divorce is final and anywhere in the divorce decree it says anything pertaining to abuse of children by father, his atty can file a motion with the court to modify the divorce decree. The daughter is old enough to be subpoaened as a hostile juvenile witness in which if she lies in court it will be construed as perjury and she will face the judge for it. This last part could also be used as away to make her tell the truth before it goes to court, also tell her no matter whether she tells the truth or not now, she will have to live with it forever and that someday the truth will come out, and she will have to live with her mistake. good luck

That is sick. When she tells the truth the mother will not be able to have the children. I have experienced a child molestation case first hand, they do physical tests on the child and the child must talk to counselors and law officials, so if she was lying I believe they would know. However if somehow she did lie and get away with it, most children are more likely to talk to someone who they do not know has a direct connection. If she knows she is confiding in a friend or relative who is close to mom, she will be afraid they will tell mom. The truth about what she is putting her father through may open her eyes to the shame and guilt she is trying to hide.

She is old enough to know if she told a terrible and harmful lie. It makes a mockery of the true victims of abuse if this was an untrue allegation. I would be interested in knowing how the interviews and polygraphs turned out.

Mind your own business & let this girl have her life back. It may not go as you would like it to, but in 25 to 40 years, she'll get real with someone! You are just prolonging her agony. Get your own life & stay out of theirs, especially if they didn't ask you for your help! Concentrate on your own life. She has a boyfriend, what about you? A good friend knows when to quit! Be supportive & stop dredging up the past. Let it go & move on to your next page of DRAMA!

that is terrible. she needs to stop lying like that. i don't know if she will ever do it but she told someone the truth and that some one should not stand for a lie like that. people get killed over stuff like that. this is a very serious situation. what would she have done if her dad were placed in prison? what a shame that this poor man was made to look like a monster in his community. if i were him, not the daughter or the mother would find me. i hope that they suffer the same way they made him suffer.

My sister in law did the same thing to my Brother... PLEASE be brave and tell the authorities what you do know, you do not know how bad it is for anyone in prison who is convicted of that crime, not to mention when they get out everyone knows it and he will have trouble living anywhere.
I have not seen my brother in over 6 years! I do not know where he lives now.
His daughter came out and told US the truth only after he did 5 years!
So if your friend does not tell then you can! JUST REPORT IT!
Get on this site and report it as YOU know it ! Make sure you tell everything you know and ask for the right sources to report that this WRONG has been committed!
Please! I wish someone had come forward for my poor brother!
He was lucky to make it out of prison alive.
Also this friend of yours will have a sad life sending her own dad to prison for something he did not do! Karma will punish her and her mom!
Believe me!

The only way I could think of is if she is scared she is going to get caught.
If she is willing to go through that in to begin with, she must not like her dad.
Its a sad story, but it happens sometimes. Good luck getting it straightend out!

Nothing you can do until she's eighteen. She's probably feeling very guilty... if she ACTUALLY lied. He should talk to her and let her know he doesn't hold it against her. Good luck.
