A man and his young wife were in divorce court, but the custody of their children posed a problem.

The mother leaped to her feet and protested to the judge that since she brought the children into this world, she should retain custody of them.

The man also wanted custody of his children, so the judge asked for his justification. After a long silence, the man slowly rose from his chair and replied, "Your Honor, when I put a dollar in a vending machine and a Pepsi comes out, does the Pepsi belong to me or the machine?"

I am to the point of wanting to give up. We have been together for 8 years and married for nearly 5. Things were so good in the beginning we would go places on dates and have fun together. Things changed shortly after we got married when he had an accident at work. After that he got so negative complaining about every freaking thing under the sun. I would tell him how much the complaining bothered me especially when there is nothing I can do about it. I would also tell him I do not bring my work frustrations home because it is no use. He also gives the same excuses for everything "I forgot" "I didn't know" "It's a guy thing" "I was raised that way". No matter what, there are excuses. He also accused me of "playing games" with him mom after he told me to have nothing to do with her and he would be the go btwn. I'm tired of him being tired all the time and not wanting to do anything. We have separated for now. He says he wants to change, but I should love him for him & I don't

About 6 years ago, I awoke to find my wife missing from bed. After searching for her for a while with no result, there was a knock at the door, and my wife appeared, bedraggled and dirty. I was astounded, and had no idea what happened. I inquired as to where she had been, and she said she had been abducted by aliens. I dismissed the whole affair as a prank, and haven't thought much of it.

However, about 2 years ago, some strange things began to happen to my wife. Every month, she began to bleed from her vagina. We were horrified, and didn't know what to do. Sometimes, around the time she bleeds, she gets maniacally moody. It's terrifying. In addition to that strange phenomenon, about 7 months ago, my wife's stomach began to swell. It was very strange. At first I thought she was just getting fat, but only her belly is growing. It's very very round, and she says that sometimes something kicks inside, but I fear she is making that up, and has gone crazy. I am at a loss to understand

We'll be married 5 yrs this Dec. He knew I didn't want to get involved with a smoker b/c my son and I have asthma & just the smell on clothes sometimes triggers it. He said he didn't smoke, & after we married I found out it was a lie. He'd look me in the eye & say he wasn't smoking, that his breath smelled b/c of other ppl around him smoking. Is that even possible?

I've had to resort to searching through our cars, & his clothes to see if he's still smoking. About 3 mths ago he had 2 pks of cigs in his jacket pocket & said they weren't his & he didn't know where it came from! He's asked me what he has to do to rebuild my trust, & I told him to "just be honest when he smokes". He says everytime he's caught he wants to quit, but he hasn't used anything (while I've been with him anyway).

I said I know his job is stressfull, & I'd be understanding if it was at work only, not often, & he tells me, but he's smoked @ the bar too.

Leaving him alone doesn't work either, I tried.

My husband and I had engaged in a 3-some a little over a month ago. I did this to fulfull his ultimate fanatasy hoping to make things bettter....Haaa .....well now I have these worst feelings that i cannot get over. I feel like crap and my heart is breaking? I have a friend who is having problems in her marriage her husband is cheating on her and he went and file for a divorce she is moving back to her home town but i cannot help but feel that he is taking advantage of her they bought a house together and in the divorce papers that she saw it did not say anything about her getting half of the house i feel that he is sending her back home to convieniently get her out of his life and will live in that house with his new girlfriend i feel so bad for my friend i told her to go to a lawyer to get advised he is so mean to her and is taking advantage of the fact that she do not know her rights ..what is the best advice i can give to her.

I'm 24 and newly divorced. I was only married for 14 months, and have taken back my maiden name. Can I say that I'm single instead of divorced? I feel as if my divorce has allowed my life to start over, and saying divorce is just hanging onto the past.

You and your wife were married for 18 yrs. You worked days,she worked nights so that you would not have to pay for childcare,have somebody else raise your kids. You had all the benifits ie:medical, dental,retirement plan etc.. She worked at menial jobs to help suppliment your income that came with non of the above. By the way you are military, move alot and it would be harder for her to get a career type job. She took care of everything else , housekeeping cooking, school PTA's and roommom, chauffer to all the kids games. Homecooked meal always on the table before she left for work, house clean and kids ready for bed. You decide that you have been missing something all these yrs, namely your old high school sweetheart. You divorce this wife and remarry within 3 months. Now your retirement has come, you know since you did the taxes for yrs that your ex put alot of money into your life. But you don't want to share.. Divorce decree says 50%. Why would you try and get out of it?

he had a really bad marriage and 15 years later, he is still really bitter towards the ex. she cheated and she did this and that. when we got together, he had a lot of issues about his ex. we have been together for years and he knows that im not his ex, but i still get treated like crap because the ex did this and that.

He does not work, because he "cannot find a job" Its been 4 months since he has worked. I work a full time office job and a weekend waitressing job. I STILL clean the house, take the kids to and from the sitter everyday, cook(sometimes) I dont get to bed until 2 or 3 am....he stays up all night on the internet and I am always tired and running late in the mornings. He doesnt lift a finger to clean or help out when the 2 and 4 year olds are crying, or hungry or needing a diaper. Im going crazy...What can I do to let him see how stressed i am?

I am preparing to leave my husband of 8(together 12) years who is verbally and emitionally abusive. He's a dr. jekyll/mr's hyde type. We have 2 children under 6 years old and he does this in front of them. Everyone else in his life thinks he's a great guy. my main problem is I don't understand why I still love him.
