A relative just did this. She took a while to decide to marry the older fellow.

Negatives:
May have children older than you are. How do you handle discipline?
May have baggage (ex-wife, child support, etc.)
May have health issues later, when you are still in party mode.
No common music or other teen-year agenda-stuff background.
Different lifestyle.
There will ALWAYS be some idiot out there asking why you are kissing your Dad on the lips.

Positive:
Partner may be more wise to the ways of the world, and therefore more forgiving of your faults.
Partner may appreciate having someone to "gofer" them.
Partner is probably not going to be sneaking around on you.
Partner may be financially stable, if older (MAY BE)

Well negative points of being married to a man 20 years older then you; You may be to much woman for him to handle.
Positive points could be; he will be more laid back, more then likely he will not be as egotistical, he would be more experienced in at least what does not work, he will probably be more sensitive in nature.

You guys are all so mean, honestly! My parents have a 20 year age difference, and they've been happily married for 32 years!!...I don't know positive or negative points, but if you really love each other then it shouldn't matter.

Pros:

You can have 2 lives ie when he dies and you are still young, you can get another man and start all over again.
You can have people say he is your father
You can have people say you are so much younger than your man
You can live on and enjoy his retirement funds

Cons:
In a few years time he can't perform .......erection problems
You like to party, he' s too tired for it
His old looks will put you off.........yes the time will come. You might even be ashamed of him cos he looks so old and haggard. You won't be used to it cos most of your friends and acquaintances are around your age.
You might need to look after him if he get a major illness such as open heart surgery, kidney problems, diabetes or cancer.

If he is rich he might die and leave you all the money. You likely have little in common really being from 2 very different generations. Are you looking for a dad? He will get tired. His sex drive will be much less than yours. If you have children you might end up a single Mom or you might have wicked step children. I believe the negs are more than the pos.

He'll be a crotchety old fool while you're still young and vibrant. He'll know more than you since he's had more time to accrue knowledge. He probably has a good job and lots of money. He'll want to retire while you may want to keep working. Some May December marriages work. Bing Crosby's for example. He may not be able to be sexually active.

the negative points is first, the generation gap, dont expect him to tune in to musics that you like, movies and discos...sometimes, they marry younger women just to have a good lay. and younger women sometimes get attracted to men their age in the long run...expect him to watch the news channels at home...The possitive however is that he is matured enough to handle the finances but you must remember that money is not all...
