I’m sixteen now,
And thought you’d be proud,
But it seems somehow,
That you’re not around,
But I’ve still chosen you as one who taught me,
That forgiveness isn’t easy,
But it can be done,
Especially for the ones you love.

You broke my heart,
Ripped it to shreds,
But when someone you love turns their back on you,
Someone you looked up to,
Someone you thought the world of,
Crushes you,
If you love them enough you can forgive,
And move on because life is too short to dwell or pity,
You’ve shown me this,
But not by example…

I’ve learned from your mistakes,
And now I’m wondering how long it will take for you to discover,
That missing piece inside that you can’t seem to find,
So you can find happiness and forgiveness in yourself,
This is a thank you,
For helping me realize that life is too short to hold grudges,
And that you have to grab every minute of it and run with it,
And that family is forever,
And ever,
And ever,
And ever…

I planned a nice birthday party for my almost 2 year old daughter coming up soon. I sent invites out and everyone knew the date early. Turns out, my husband's brother (also my daughter's godfather) has to be out of town on business. I guess I was naive to think that his new wife (my sister in law) would come, even if he couldn't since - oh, I don't know, that couple is named in our will as the people who would raise her if we died? I hadn't heard an RSVP back from her, so when I saw her at a wedding this weekend (a wedding for our husbands' 3rd cousin), I asked if she could come, and was surprised to hear her say no. She is having visitors in town during that time, and - here's the kicker - says her husband told her she "didn't have to go" since he couldn't be there. Um.. excuse me? Am I alone in thinking that going to a birthday party for a niece is a no brainer, and that she should have planned to come? My feelings are hurt at her nonchalance. Is she cold, or am I nuts??

I know there are people out there that abuse pregnant women. I am pregnant and was abandoned by my bf 3 weeks ago. He has violent tendencies so I know this is for the best. I am concerned as to why he left me (I think he cheated and has another gf who may be preggo) but the source was him and he has lied about stuff in the past. He wanted me to get rid of this baby and when I refused, he left and sent me a horrible e-mail. I wasn't sure what to think but I did get a call from his gf (I didn't know at the time) who threatened me as well to stay away from her bf (he denies all this ) Of of course I don't believe him. It makes me sick to think I could have been exposed to something b/c of his infidelity. He has been violent to me in the past when drinking. Do you think I have anything to worry about? I know that when some people are desperate, they can do crazy things. I'm planning to file for CS, but he doesn't know it. He has shown up here before very drunk late at night.

My father in law and his wife are harassing their 17 yr old son's girlfriend about the way she dresses. I have met her and she is a really sweet, good girl. They think that she dresses too sexy (she wore a string bikini in front of them). They told the son that if she didn't dress differently that he couldn't see her anymore. Her parents don't have a problem with the way she dresses so who are they to tell her how to! Should I say anything to them about how tough they are being? By the way, they called her over to have her explain to them why she dresses this way.

I took my 6 year old stepdaughter Holly to see Shrek the Third a while back. We saw the cinema advertisement about Madeleine's disapearance. Holly asked who this little girl was and who had 'snatched' her. I explained that she was lost and that her parents were very sad (obviously, I am protecting our kids from all the speculation as they are so young, 6 and 7) and were looking for her.

This was several weeks ago. Holly asked about Madeleine a few times over the next few days but then stopped.

Last night I heard a noise form Holly's room and when I went to investigate, found her crying her eyes out - she'd had a nightmare. When I asked her about it, she told me she wanted to know that ''the poor little girl'' was back with her parents, and that she was seeing Madeleine's face when she tried to sleep.

I cried after I had finally got Holly back to sleep. Please tell me, what can I do to help her? What can I tell her?

He promised we would go see SPAMALOT, WICKED, and PHANTOM OF THE OPERA on Broadway in new york when i got back from summer camp, so while i was there i told every one about it and asked about the plays. when i get home, it turns out we aren't going after all, and now i feel like a liar because I told all the people some thing that wasn't true. He could have written me and then I could have told everyone there had been a change in plans.

Since I have been active on Yahoo answers for the past few weeks, I can't believe how may of our children have such a HORRIBLE relationship with their parents. Especially our girls. I am a mother of 6 children and I have very open relationships with all of them. I am not saying that things are always good, because they are not, we have our moments, but I listen to what they have to say even though they are wrong most of the time. Everyone, including my baby has their own opinion. It is sad to me that young girls can't talk to their mothers about basic hygiene issues. FIrst of all, every mother should start talking about their periods and what to do way before they start. They should explain to them what is going on with their bodies. It is scary for all parties involved. We need to be parents and guide our children. Let them know that they can talk to us about anything and let them know that everythig is ok. Make them comfortable.

They live in Cali, Colombia and my father insists that there is a way to have a live video chat with them, however my question is: Does this have to do with with something for example yahoo/aol/messanger web cams? Because I'm under the impression that you will need some sort of intant messanger thing to do this, but my father insists that it's not require. Can someone straighten this mess up for me? my mom wants to take me to the mall for back to school shopping. i know we didn't have that much money so i looked for a couple of clothes for cheap that i liked

i found a auction that was going for 10 bucks that had over 20 pounds of clothes.
i showed my mom and when i showed her the pictures of the clothes she stared at it and said No like it was me asking to move away. i asked her why she said no plus i said i would pay for it.

ok all the clothes are listed as punk/emo/goth girls clothes and are all black. my mom was goth at my age and had those clothes. WHY won't she let me get them my dad hasn't seen it yet.

Its a year later. And he hasnt done a thing. Our lease is up and im living with my boyfriend and his wonderful family, but my brother has no where to go. I love him but I cant help anymore. im 16 years old and my grandma is going out of town. I live with her. Last time she let my mom stay here with me but she didn't like some of the stuff my mom did. So this time i have to stay with my aunt. my aunt has two sons. 6 and a 9 month year old. the six year old really gets on my nerves!!! Like i get to the point that I cant stand it. He's very smart mouth and annoying. I wont have my computer, i have to travel everyday across the bridge to cheerleading practice and church. I wont be able to hang with my friends, my phone has no signal across the bridge and i wont be able to go shopping like talkin about it. I really dont wanna leave the comfort of my home. What should i do to fix these problems and make it easier on me.

On one side he feels like he shouldnt leave us cause hes our dad but on the other side we could really really benefit from his new salary so to speak, I start college in 3 weeks, my sisters 21 and still lives with my mom and my lil bro is 12.

He asked me and my sister what we thought

I tried to say he should make his own decision but then i said we could really get out of this rut with all that money.

He's telling me his decision tommarow.

What do you think should/can happen?

"He was a kind man, when sober. He was generous, when he passed out we could steal his money. He treated all 9 of his wives with respect; by divorcing them. He taught us well; like when we learned butter can heal a bruise. He gave us shelter, in little boxes by the garbage can outside. He will be missed, by the debt collectors. Let us now bow our heads in memory of him. Dear Lord, we thank you for taking him away from this Earth, and please let Lucifer treat him with the dignity he deserves. Amen"

Is that a good speech for my father, or should I work on it?

Call me stupid, but I write down my personal confessions of a piece of paper and I put them in one of my pillow cases. They were about how I "love" this guy (but I know I'm too young for love) and how I want him to kiss me because I don't want to make the first move and I basically printed out his emails and confessed how cute I thought they were.

Well, my dad basically has no idea of my personal life and now I'm super embarassed because now he suddenly knows who I've dated and who I've kissed and stuff like that.

I know he read it 'cause I sealed the envelop and I found it open on my desk after my dad took my bedsheets so he could put them in the laundry and I forgot that they were still in one of my pillows.

What should I do? Ignore it?
He knows I know he read it and I'm afraid I'm going to be too embarassed to talk about it. I'm afraid he'll tell other people and my older brother and they'll have a good laugh about it.

Help? By the way, I'm fourteen.
