I know there are people out there that abuse pregnant women. I am pregnant and was abandoned by my bf 3 weeks ago. He has violent tendencies so I know this is for the best. I am concerned as to why he left me (I think he cheated and has another gf who may be preggo) but the source was him and he has lied about stuff in the past. He wanted me to get rid of this baby and when I refused, he left and sent me a horrible e-mail. I wasn't sure what to think but I did get a call from his gf (I didn't know at the time) who threatened me as well to stay away from her bf (he denies all this ) Of of course I don't believe him. It makes me sick to think I could have been exposed to something b/c of his infidelity. He has been violent to me in the past when drinking. Do you think I have anything to worry about? I know that when some people are desperate, they can do crazy things. I'm planning to file for CS, but he doesn't know it. He has shown up here before very drunk late at night.

B/c I'm continuing with this pregnancy, do you think he might try something. The gf called me in early July and the break up happened mid July. The e-mail was full of hate and it did scare me alittle. I am going to speak to a lawyer about my options. I never depended on this guy for anything during the 2 years we went out. I just don't know him anymore,.He's very unpredictable.

Please no comments about sex and marriage. I'm 34, been married, hated it. I am independent with a great job and I am a good person. Yes I picked the wrong guy, but marriage has nothing to do with this b/c I know lots of married people who are messed up.

If the two of you have a violent past, or he himself has a violent past, then you should look into obtaining a temporary restraining order.

Print the letter, and visit with your local DA (or equivalent) to see what is involved with getting a TRO, then when he shows up, sober or rdrunk, call the police and have him charged.

Get an EPO (emergency protection order) . Seriously you have a baby to think about. He sounds like a punk and you are better off without him. Just be cautious. And get that protection order.
