My father in law and his wife are harassing their 17 yr old son's girlfriend about the way she dresses. I have met her and she is a really sweet, good girl. They think that she dresses too sexy (she wore a string bikini in front of them). They told the son that if she didn't dress differently that he couldn't see her anymore. Her parents don't have a problem with the way she dresses so who are they to tell her how to! Should I say anything to them about how tough they are being? By the way, they called her over to have her explain to them why she dresses this way.

First, I agree that they WAY over reacted, and they should never have called her to task about how she dresses.

Equally as important is that she should respect thier wishes and dress a little more coservatively in front of them.

In my opinion your wife should say something before you do. That is HER brother. I think if you say something, you may end up getting your feelings hurt, or leave with a different attitude toward her parents.

No, I wouldn't intervene. Let this girl have a chance to get away from your psycho family members.
