Family - January 2007

since we were kids my brother hated me. he would steal from me and said someone else did it. he would guilt me into lending him my stuff and either got it back broken or not at all. Now that we are adults its all him blaming me for everything and his wife and kids and mother-in-law are following his lead. to make a long story short he wants money from me cause a relative left me money. I said no and now everybody is mad at me and they are finding ways to get even. My sister in law said I abused my brother when we were kids. I have no idea what my brother is telling his family, but its all lies. for the sake of my parent we only get together on holidays. Im tired of being a scape goat but dont know what to say its a dammed if you do or dammed if you don't situation. what can I do about this,

The child support I receive is court ordered. My ex boyfriend has been paying for about 10 years. If it is court ordered then why wouldn't I receive the same amount all the time. I am supposed to get $156.28 every two weeks. But I think his employer takes out less when he works less. The checks usually range from $128 - $156 every two weeks. So if they can take out less then why can they not give me more if he makes more?

i'm one girl with four brothers...it is pure HELL!!! they annoy the hell outta me.....i just cleaned my entire room yesterday....i was out for a couple of hours and when i get home, my room is TRASHED!!! my drawers are open, my clothes are everywhere, all my good food (junk food) is gone, they went on my computer and now its all slow.....good thing my diary is locked up :).....god knows wht i would do to them then.....anyways, i am so sick of them....hate their guts....2 years and I am going to apply to the farthest college from new york....or maybe overseas....hmmm...anyways...i like to vent and want to know if anyone else feels my agony and all my suffering and pain?....by the way, I'm 15, almost 16 in 2 weeks. I have an older brother who's 18 (he's annoying sometimes but he usually keeps to himself cuz hes a spoiled brat and has like everything in the world)...three younger brothers who are 15 (we're not twins..its just that we're 11 months apart), the other two are 12 and 11... :(

I need some help. these people on yahoo answers made her cry because she told them something that's true about her family, and they didn't believe her. They were pretty much yelling at her. Do they not have any heart at all? How could they do that to an 8 year old. It just makes me so upset and heartbroken to see her crying. What can I do? I don't like to see her cry. I'm very protective of my brothers, sisters, step brothers and step brothers. And she's my step sister. She can be so sweet. Seeing her cry makes me want to cry. After they said that to, she ran off crying. I just want to know what the heck they were thinking. Does anyone have any good advice on what to do. We can't go to an , because there are none here. But please tell me what i should do.

my son was married they had a daughter they devorced. my son got into some trouble with the law. his x wife is married to the jailor.he is harresed into signing his parental rights away. for 4 years we have no contact with the child.then by accident we find out the paper he signed isnt legal. i ask if we could see the child and was allowed 6 hours with her during which time she met her half sis, they could pass for twins. now the child is not allowed to see us again.we had only 6 hours with her now her step dad an mom is pushing for us to not see her again step dad wants to adopt. the mom is very angry says that i only want to see her because i feel guilty for abandon her. do you think the mom is doing what is best for the child.by not letting her see her dad, grandparents not to mention her half sister.she is using the back unpaid child support as a weapon to try to get him to sign his rights away.this is going to court,my son is going to fight for his child. i need unbiased opinon

it's not fair! i know she's brought me up and stuff, and i'm grateful but i want to know my dad.

they divorced when i was 6 and my dad was allowed to see me as much as he wanted, but my mom kept avoiding it, he kept trying but then stopped. i know he loved me, he was a great dad and i miss him so much and my mom is horrible, she NEVER shows me any love and i know she loves my step brother more than me but my step dad is really lovely! that's the good side of it....

i tried talking to her about it and she just shouted at me and told me it's not fair on her and that i shuold show more respect.....i want to find him!

help me! do i not have childrens rights or something? anyway, even if he doesn't want to know atleast i've tried

the first time my brother got drunk he was happy and smiling and telling jokes and this carried on untill a couple of months ago ,when he gets drunk, which my mum and the rest of the family (except Tom,my other brother) resents he now is very violent

Is it normal for me to feel like I am not a good mother anymore? I mean I try to spend time with my son and do fun stuff with him but he just seems like I am so boring or something. He is always playing video games. His grades are good so I don't keep him from it, he is a good kid and always does what I ask of him. I invite him to have a family movie night but he just doesn't seem interested. I feel sad, like we have lost the bond we used to have. Do you think its just me not wanting to let go of a son who is becoming a man? Or am I a bad mother for letting him do his own thing? I tell him how much I love him always but still I just feel so bad!

Okay so my parents started their's a bit late they are both almost 60. My mom is trying to lose weight so she doesnt cook anymore and my dad is desparately trying to get her to cook again. He also tells me about how his job is boring sometimes which I never ever thought he would say to me. He has always been about his job. Both tend to throw some comments my way lately. My mom was like I wish you liked Mike more than a friend then gives this sad face. My dad was like you always have had your problems with men. Im like umm I am 24 it comes with the territory and look at the role model I have. Oi does anyone else have these issues popping up? Its wicked annoying.

My boyfriend is not happy and stressed out..He has a 6 yr old daughter from his previous marriage and he lives with his parents and over controlling/bossy sister to help him out... his out of work at the moment due to work injuries, so its harder for him to get a decent job now and move out...He does fight with his family especially his sister, always puts him down & embarrasses him...When its comes to his daughter being naughty he tries to do his job as a father....but his family tells him off like "dont yell at her" etc like that..his family spoils her and makes it harder for him to raise her and make her respect him...and last night they told him his not good enough to raise his daughter...and that really cut him up...what can i do to help my boyfriend, because his family has no right, he puts up with it cos they helped with the divorce and everything and if he says anything they will use that against him...especially his sister....i love him and i dont want him to be unhappy...

he doesn't want me to have contact with his sister- in-law, because we "left our lives" there and started over. His brother(s) were into drugs, and he was too at one point, but quit all of it when he met me. We have a child together, and are doing good now. I am very good friends with his sister-in-law, but he still doesn't want them to know where we are, and doesn't want me communicating with her, I am not really sure why. Should I respect his wishes, or keep doing what I have been doing, emailing her and talking to her that way--although I NEVER disclosed our location to her ( he doesn't want them moving here to "sponge" off us, bring their bad habits here etc)??? BTW she doesn't use drugs, and both her and his brother practically raised him because his mom picked her boyfriends over her kids after she divorced their dad (6 kids total--I only talk to two of the s.i.l.'s and two of the brothers), then his mother was murdered in 1992 by a gunman on a rampage. What to do???

Okay... my bro fed my parents a string of lies about me and now they made me leave all facebook groups, they want to take away my comp., put parental controls on it, get me off of facebook all together, and they don't trust me anymore!!! I said "You don't trust me anymore!" and my mom said "You're right... we don't!" I didn't even do anything wrong!! They have been watching over me like a hawk all day, my bro included!!!! I hate it!!! I feel like a prisoner!!! please please please help me get them to trust me again!! But, I don't know how because I never did anyhting wrong, my mom believes anything my bro says. He came home drunk one night and he said "I'm not drunk" and my mom and dad were like "uh duh, of course your not drunk, why would you be" mean while he was toppsy turvy and you couold smell it in his breath!!!!! I still live with my parents because I am a poor college student. My dad got cancer (which he is recovering from now nicely). He and my mother decided to become Catholic because of this ordeal. I have attendended mass to show my support, but I don't think I want to join the church. I am open-minded and see the value in all religions. I tend to believe books such as Sylvia Browne and Michael Newton, and I am also interested in Wicca. My sister tends to have the same thoughts as I do. I have talked with my parents, but my dad always has something to come back with that he feels supports Christianism. My mom is hung up about miracles and how being Christian will bring such to me. My mom expects me to go to church every week with them. I've tried refusing but she acts like I'm betraying the family if I don't. I'm at a loss as to what to do. I know I can't let this go on because I feel like I'm betraying myself. Please help.

I'm 15 and I am not allowed to drink. I understand my parents' decision but it seems unfair to me since everytime i go to a party, all my 15 year old friends are drinking WITH PERMISSION!!! How can I convince my parents i'm responsible enough to drink? Or how can I drink behind their backs without getting caught??

I have an older sister who's 1 and goes to college (we were homeschooled so she started last year). She works parttime in a pet store with three other people and is friends with a guy. Later that night shes on AIM when he messages her and asks if she'll sell him her beanie babies. She says no because she still likes them and wants to keep them and eventually give them to her own kids. Then for several minutes he begins pleading and begging her for them. She repsonds no several times and then gives him a ebay link where he can buy some. He still continues.

Then he responds with his niece wants them and begins insulting her and calling her names and insulting her. She says let me think about it. (she honesty loves them still and doesn't want to part with them and uses them to decorate her apartment). Then he gets his two four year old nieces on begging her to give them to her. Unable to say no, she feels she has no choice and says yes. What should she do?

My brother likes poodles, Littlest Pet Shop, and other things-that are mostly for girls. And whenever me and my dad tell him that, my mom chimes in saying "Anyone can play with them". And my brother ends up getting mad at my father and I. He doesn't play with cars-something my best friend at the time and I played with constantly. I'm a 15 year old female. I liked Power Rangers when I was younger. I never really played with barbies. And now that I'm older, I'm a cars fanatic. My grandmother often says I'm "not a girl". I tell her that just because I don't like skirts doesn't mean I'm not a girl. Now, I don't want my brother playing with things like Poodles and naming them "Princess". I've rarely ever seen him play with Power Rangers. He has them-but he doens't play with them. Is it normal for my 6 year old brother to like girl things-things I didn't really like as a kid?
