My son has suffered to long, his dad is in the service and he has not did anything for him at all, i need help.

We have spent over $5000 to get custody. The court does not care about the fact that this loser STILL does crack. She just got arrested for possession last year and currently is off of work because she is now out there again on a binge again. The child is 15 and covers for his mother.
Our lawyer told us that it is basically a waste of money to do anything about it b/c the child does not want ot come live with us.
Does the courts really believe that a 15 year old really knows what is best? Even though he has been around a drug-infested environment?
Messed up situation! We try and talk to him, but he is brainwashed to believe that if he comes with us, he will lose his freedom (basically the kid takes care of himself b/c the mother is never around) The child now lives with the grandparents...from what we hear but get this-the grandmother is an alcoholic and the grandfather scams insurance comapnies to make money.
We are seriously worried.
Any advice people? Thanks..

First of I would like to thank those who have tried in helping me find the ex's children's biological father. Was able to find him and have made contact. For ten years this man was denied anything to do with his children after a break up. He spent the last 10 years searching for his children, could not find them as mother kept her phone unlisted and his calls non stop to the maternal grandparents was refused to be acknowledged, all messages were deleted. This man has kept every phone record and every other receipt such as lawyers he's seen trying to find them. (Lives in different country) Yes he's now filing with the courts now that he has a location of the mother. I was just curious how often do mothers do this to their children when a break up happens?

sometimes when my sister and i fight and it gets a little rough my mom threatens to leave the house like she opens the door and then we run and persuade her to come back....this is the second time she has done it and the first time she promised me she would never do it again...im really confused what should i do? keep on living inthe fear that one day she will walk out on us?? HELP please...

I am 34. I live with mother; I did not leave her because when father passed away I knew she needed someone...me to be there for her; so I tkko here here and there and everywhere...all this while I had a good paying job as a teacher. Today, I am broke, 6 months behind on my payments...mother can not help me anymore and about to loose my car, our ownly car. I want to move to SA Texas and get a few jobs to catch up and pay back to mother...Yes or No.

My sister in law is being so hateful when it comes to my nephews. I am extremely close to my oldest nephew, when he was born my brother and sister in law left him with me a lot while they went out and partied. As a result we are very close. He is 7 now and has a new 6 month old brother that I am not allowed to see much. My sister in law had told me she doesn't want my new nephew to "get in with me" like my oldest nephew did" and that I need to "learn my place" in regard to my oldest nephew and quit trying to be his mother. She has also accused me of trying to run her and my brothers life. I have truly no idea where these accusations are coming from. I have always tried to be very respectful of my brother and sister in laws role as parents and have never intentionally tried to undermine them. I believe she is jealous of the bond I have with my oldest nephew and is punishing me for a situation she and my brother created by leaving him with me so much when he was young. Advice?

Here in WI they consider $479/month for a married couple affordable! That is with a $2500 deductible!! It just doesn't make any sense to me. Can anyone tell me why the rates are so very UN-AFFORDABLE? One simply can't afford to get sick or maintain one's health...

Hi, there!
Long story, but my son's with his dad in LI, and I already moved Upstate NY. So, we're meeting up mid-way, and we're all painfully new to the Mahopac/Danbury areas.
Anyone know of fun things to do? The internet gives me movies, libraries, and skating.
Good start, but not enough for every weekend.
Anything you think is fun (and decent for 12 yr old!) is welcome!

he's not emo, or punk, or goth, or any cult or anything, he's not brand concious. he likes that thing they put on tyres, cars, manchester united, futsal, those normal guy things. he's a medical student and sort of obsessed with science. he's not the werido, skinny with glasses type, though.

i'm so stumped. i need some suggestions. i dont really buy birthday presents to guys so i really have no idea what to give. i have only started giving birthday present to my bro last year.

In all the footage I've seen of that recently found Missouri boy, I've yet to see him smile once, or act happy that he was found, however the younger one seems overjoyed to be reunited with his parents. when i was three my dad died and i have not seen his side of the family since then. im 21 now. i recently contacted my aunt but she wont give me any information on my sis and bro. i know where my grandma lives but she refuses to have anything to do with me cause she blames my mom for my dads death(he was a alcoholic and commited suicide). i cant afford anything or anyone to try to track them down. their names are jessie and juile howard... i know they still live in kansas. any advice would greatly be apriciated

mom gets mad n even sick b/c of my brother,14 n uncontrolable he thinks he can do anything he says that he doesnt take Sh*T from anybody, doesnt even listen to my parents. they have tried everything but failed. he gets so agresive and yells at them. for instance 2 days ago my grandma was over at our hose n he wanted to see a movie he yelled at my grandma ok shut up im watching amovie my grandma felt bad n left after she left my mom tell him y was he disrispectufl he said "B/c THAT B*tCH! my mom got so mad at him and sad BE QUIET! he said U B QUIET! my mom punch him in the arm and he grab her had and yelled at her, my mom started crying he is so bad at her. my mom tell him to give him his cell phone u r GROUNDED he said NO! my mom= give me the c.phon NO! i said NO! as he turned around my mom took it off his c. phone, he grab her by her waist and wouldnt let her walk and said mommy plese ill give u my ipod but not the c. phone. he causes trouble every day, my parents dont know what to do

This may sound stupid, but I wanted to start doing things with my daughter to help build our relationship. So, We both talked about what we both like to do and what we would like to do together. The decision we made was Bowling. We decided that we would take one day every other weekend to go bowling ( just me and her). Well, now it has become not only something for me and her to do she has also made it something for her and her boyfriend to do. Not only that, but also something for her and her friends to do. The thing that might sound stupid is; This upsets me! I feel like what was mine and my daughters has been taken away. Not only has it been taken away, but we just started doing this about a month ago. It was taken away so quickly. I feel if i say something to her or anyone that I'm not only sounding jealous I'm sounding childish. I don't know what to do or what to say?! HELP!!!!

Ok so I have a step sister, we are both in our 20's and married w/ a child. So fortunately I don't' have to see her very often anymore. But when I do have to see her, its almost unbearable. Her daughter is almost 2, you should hear the way she speaks to her. She calls her daughter an idiot, moran...etc..and other things that I can not even mention.Brings her kid around my kid when she's sick...etc.. She is just an overall bad mother. But NO ONE ever says anything to her. And whenever someone has said something to her, her father ( my mothers husband) gets mad like we are attacking her, then my Mom and him get into a fight. I have distanced myself as much as possible, but of course there are occasions where I have to see her. What should I do? Continue to ignore her behavior, or do I say something to her no matter what repercussions it has???
