Yes, aren't cordless phones the greatest.....
I do this all of the time. I think of it this way; why just sit and talk when you have a cordless phone you might as well get some 'quiet type' tasks done also, besides, people who drive and talk on cell phones do the same thing, except, when I do this over a cordless phone I don't run red lights, cause any accidents or end up in an accident.
