a lot of it depends on the state and the statutes where you live. My personal advice, not knowing your situation is to stay at home. Unless your mother is abusive or a drop dead drunk, then you are better off staying at home where you can concentrate on your life and education. But I know in most or at least many states that 19 year old boyfriend would get his butt thrown in jail for even going out with you. I am a father of a 16 year old girl that has a 19 year old boyfriend. I have no problem with this because I know he is a good kid and wont take advantage of my daughter. Most of the time they are here at our house watching TV and such. but I know there are times when I wonder what they are doing when they go out. I know my daughter has a very big future ahead of her. I know she wouldn't do anything to jeopardize that. It is a very important thing you need to weigh in your own mind. What is better for you in the long run, staying at home and becoming your own person or moving in with the boyfriend and becoming that person??

Don't ruin your life and get a baby you can not afford.
Keep your options ante up reputation open and free and lacy to see other boys. U know unless your 19 yr old man is Donald Trump
Stay at home and let your parents foot the bill until you get a job and get your checks flowing...Then you can afford whatever mistakes you make and you can forge out to the dorm or to the apartment of your choice and have a bachelor pad girl style for a whole revolving door of dates and keep a business mind on the dates You are looking for a winner not a empty tyrant controller...
And you are not a slave...or gene looking for a master...LET Him Come To You...

Depends on the laws of the state you live in. In California, the 19 year old can be charged with statutory rape, though that is unlikely.
At 16, the best one can do is attempt to be emancipated from one's parents - then one can do whatever you like.
I'd suggest waiting out the two years and going from there...

I think that varies from state to state. You need to check the laws on that in your area. You can call the police department and ask them. But your 16, I know it sounds lame but take it from someone who's made the same mistake. You need to be worried about school not some guy. The statistics for it lasting is slim to none. You don't want to screw up the rest of your life. When you break up where are you going to go? You need to go to school and college so you can afford to get a place of your own so you don't have to depend on your parients or your boyfriends parents.

Definitely. If you want to move out, you would have to get yourself emancipated. To do that, you have to go before a judge and present your case, and also show proof that you can support yourself. So unless you have a job (and decent grades or a GED), you're stuck with mom. Sixteen is really borderline on the whole statutory rape thing- it is the age of consent in most states- but if your mom wanted to press it she certainly could make trouble for him.

By law you are considered a minor until age 18, and your parents are responsible for you, therefore they have the final say. If you run away to the boyfriends house, you could wind up in juvenile detention, and your boyfriends mom could be arrested for and tried for harboring a minor.

Not unless she goes to court and gets emancipated, and then she has to show the judge she is responsible has a job is in school and shows she is a responsible person. She can't really throw the b/f in jail because at 16 its a consenting age in some states. You have to go to court and get emancipated.

yes if she wanted to, because he is 19, i would not do this, cause i no how hard it can b, i would wait til u were 18 an if u r stil with this guy then yeah go for it, but moveing out at 16 can be hard, it really can wether his mother is their or not, look im not trying to mean really, i just want to help thats all, its not a good idea really, not at 16, your mother should sit u down and talk to you about what can happen i mean , how hard it can be, but then to i dont no what your life is like so really its up to you, but i would wait,

Yes she can have the police come get you, the boyfriend can be arrested for interfering with custody nad contributing to delinquency of a minor. I went thru exactly this with my daughter. Years later she apologised to me for acting the way she did. Things when you are young ay seem like the right thing to do....but later in life you realise it wasnt
