Try meditation... this helps you to channel out any negative feelings you have inside and helps you to think things through clearly and with a positive mind.
Avoid negativity - if its on television...turn the tv off or change the channels to something more interesting and stimulating. Don't take part in negative conversations - turn the conversation into a positive one.
Do as many positive things with your life, as possible- this will make you feel good and therefore have more positive thoughts.
For me, the more actions I take (outside my body) that are positive - the more positive my mind becomes.

Think about what you are good in. This could be some work you did for others, or a sport that you play. Hey, how about the awards you have won from schools, civic services, work, community, or anywhere.
Secondly, I would look back when the last time you felt really proud of what you did. Be it small as helping open the car door for someone, or let someone go ahead of you in the market. How about work place, the raises you've got and what you received from your family members or co-workers. Then review these times. Maybe even write them down and read them from time to time. There is nothing better to get your feelings up than to get back into good feelings of before.
Keep it up, many people care for your well being and want you to be at your best, ok?

Find habits, behaviours and situations that make you feel positive, and try to increase the number of times in your day these things occur. The same goes for people who make you feel positive.

Whenever you feel negative comments about yourself turn them into something positive.
Example: "I can't do ____________." change it to, "I CAN do ___________."
Instead of thinking of the worst of a situation try and be optimistic and look at the brighter side of things. Example: Instead of thinking that your car is all messed up from a car wreck, think about how lucky you are that you have survived it.
That's pretty much all there is to it. Good luck!!!

Start a journal and write down everything you appreciate every single day. Starting from waking up to being able to walk to being able to breathe to being able to eat without a feeding tube to having the option of doing whatever you want in this life and billions do not because of an illness and such.
