I am 19 years old and i live with my grandma bc my so called mother chose my stepfather over me and my real father is gone. Well I love my grandma but its not her its the man that lives with us, not to mention my aunt and her 2 kids as well. The man that lives with us always calls me names like fat a$$, and stuff like that and he threatens to throw me against the wall, he has been abusive with me in the past but hasnt since i turned 19. I have had burses on me from him but my gramma didnt say anything. Not only this but i get 2 checks every month.(i am deaf) They add up to over 500 and my gramma only gives me 150 of it bc she needs the rest for the bills. I know i prolly cant make it on my own and i cant go to the cops about any of this. When the man living here gets mad at someone he yells at me and takes it out on me. I cant take this much longer. I need a life and privacy. I need freedom, anyone have any advice? I am hoping someone can help. Please dont be rude.

The only tools that I have to work with are, my father's name and the last city that he was known to reside. Though I have unlimited internet access; I have NO ownership nor access to a credit/debit card. Unforunately, this would have to be either FREE or BILL ME LATER help.

Thank you in advance,

5 years ago my aunt passed away, and her daughter had just gave birth to a baby boy. I think at the time we wanted to stop being sad and turned all our attention on the baby especially my mom. She keeps him every saturday night, and now that she has had another baby she goes over to there house all the time and I have been in my house for a year and she has been here 4 times. Also I have a step daughter who has lived with us for 4 years and is her grandaughter and just a month ago was the first time she ever spent the night. I understand wanting to help with your sisters kids, but has it went overboard?

she seems scared of him but doesnt really say anything to him, and when she does, he doesnt listen to her. Last night we had to go help her after my husband got home from work because my father in law refused to go help her and left her stranded in a parking lot.. how do we confront him about his behavior before my 2 year old picks up on his behavior to much more?

I have another question regarding child support, just so I understand how everything works. I live in Citrus Heights, California and just finished court orders for my son. The father and I are to pay 50% of all necessary medical, dental, or vision expense, etc. I have sole physical and legal custody of my son and father has 0% timeshare. Judge ordered support to be paid by wage assignment and to pay $486 per month commencing on 9/1/06 and arrearage in the sum of $25.00 per month till paid in full commencing on 1/1/07. So I'm confused? Is the $25.00 like interest from the back support he was suppost to start paying 9/1/06? THat's why it's PIF aka pay in full? Just trying to plan for my son's future, because his support will go in a trust fund for him towards high school, college, etc.

We have asked him nicely to stop taking pix,but he thinks hes in charge cuz hes the oldest.btw~~I'm the youngest,w/ 3 others in between,I'm also the one thats most confrontational. my husband comes from a family of 4, 2 girls/2 boys, and he would drop everything in a second to help someone especially his mother, however she quite openly favours her daughter and son-in-law to the point where she won't even ring to wish her other children happy birthday, because she was out shopping for something for her daughter or son-in-law it makes me so mad because she(mother-in-law) always talks about when they have kids and what cute grandkids they will be and what great parents they will be but hardly ever makes an attempt to see our daughter (her already now and only grandchild) I know this affects my husband (even though he dosen't talk about), but short of shipping her to some remote island I just don't know what to do. I know it must sound childish but as a mother I just don't see how she can show such blatent and sometimes hurtful favouritism. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

why do they do this? is it because they are on some power trip? do they feel the need to try and get their last control rampage out before we turn 18? do they do this because they know we will turn 18 soon so that is why they do this? because my parents used to be alot more relaxed with me...but ever since i turned 17 they have been on this "there are rules in this house that WILL be enforced" trip. its not like im a bad kid.. i don't drink, i don't party, i don't do drugs and i get pretty good grades.... can anyone tell me why this is?

ok, here is how it went with my parents. But before i say anything, as far as i know, they have told me they love each other very much.

Ok, while my dad was cutting some bamboo trees, my mom came outside to help, but instead of helping she did the wrong thing. When she was suppose to cut off the leaves of the bamboo tree, she cut the whole thing out. (That wasn't the only stupid thing she did). So according to my dad, he called her a "dumbass". According to my mom, he called her a "***** asshole". So now she is acting VERY childish and is throwing tantrums (and she won't eat). Now, they are avoiding each other, well, my mom is mostly avoiding my dad. So my mom comes to my room and usually stays there for a long time. And they are talking about divorce (one of my worst fears).

oh yeah, a situation very similar to this happened a couple years ago

So, what should i do?

Regarding my last post about my mother in law. I think you have misunderstood me. I DO NOT swear in front of my kids , the question was do I tell my kids that she does not get them birthday presents. I buy them so they won't get upset with her. Next time read it properly before replying.

Ok I'm in big trouble and it's a Friday. My science teacher called my mom's cellphone and told her I was misbehaving and failing class so my mom said she would have a talk with me when she gets home. But now my math teacher is calling the house so I accidently picked up the phone and hanged it up so I know he left a message. My mom doesn't know that my math teacher called! I'm so scared right now, please help. She's going to start cursing and stuff. And on top of that she's in the taxi on her way from work. What should I do? I know the password for the house voicemail but I don't know the number for it. Please help.

Ok, so here's the problem.....she is always asking my mom and I to babysit. I can say no, but my mom can't and I feel she's being taking advantage of. When we do watch my niece, she goes out and drink, smokes and parties and usually comes home as drunk as a skunk. I feel like when we babysit while she goes out that we are supporting this behavior. When I say no to babysitting she makes feel bad like I don't love my niece, but I do! I just want my sister-in-law to grow up. It's fine to go out on occasion and have fun, but this is taking place two to three times a week. My mom comes home exhausted from being there until the wee hour of the morning. How do I convince my mom to say no sometimes and how do I make my Sister-in law understand that I do love my niece.

Every time it's my kids birthdays she never gives them anything. I have to go and get them something and make out that she has bought it, not for her benefit but for theirs(even though it does benefit her). She works in Asda so she could get them something even if it is a piece of clothing or something. I don't expect everyone to buy them things but you would have thought that a grandparent would. My partner accepts it and says that's what she's like. I can't let my kids think that Nan won't get them anything for their birthdays as they will get upset, they are only 6 and 3.
Should I carry on buying for her or should I let them find out for themselves what a tight old b***h she is?
