Unfortunately, there's not much you can do. He's the adult and you're the child. He pays all the bills and you contribute noting to the home. Until you pay your way, you'll have to do what he says. Sorry, but that's life and we all had to go through it.

It sounds so cultural, perhaps it is sensitive for you to say something but find a time when he is in a good mood, and get into an adult talk by asking him things on what he likes about you and what he does not like, same way you can tell him the good things and the annoying things indoing so you get to know each other, also you can make a joke on lighter occasions and mimic him on how he bosses around, family is a place where we get to have all kinds of charactors, it only helps us to deal with different people in the real world, or laugh at him and ask him why he does that when the remote is so close to him, how does he feel making you come out your room just to pick up the remote that is so close to him. Include humor in everything, life is full of laughter

He's you Dad! He is the Big Shot. He supports you, doesn't he? Don't become disrespectful toward your father. Then it will be your fault if you have a crumby relationship.

Fathers are supposed to tell their children what to do. I wish mine was still here to do that. It gets tiresome, but you will grow up. Make the best of it.

I am in the military so I am going to put this plan to you. RESPECT AND OBDIENCE= Until you are 18 and have a job you have to do what he says. You have to get a job save up money, buy a car, and rent a place. Then you will have your freedom, but until then your screwed. I went through the same thing, my family is catholic and white.

do the best as you can to avoid him. if he calls you for sumtin like that remote control thing, pretend your doing your homework or sumtin really important or pretend to be taking a dump. it just might work. i avoid my dad by staying up in my room when he's downstairs. ;)
