I was talking to my brother (the one who came from the abusive past) and I thought my uncle had gone out. We were talking in my room when all of the sudden he came in and told my brother that I was lying
and he punched me so hard my nose bled. Then he hit my brother in the eye very hard. He told my brother that if anyone - either of us told - he would kill our parents. What should I do?!?!!?

My parents recently divorced, so me and my younger brother are with my Mom. However, my mom doesn't have a job, so she doesn't have much of an income(My dad owned this big ol' dental office...), and she gets mad at me and threatens me with the fact that she can move me to my dads and she even says I am like him, and won't give me the time of day. My older sister is in College, and whenever she comes, my mom does everything for her, takes her shopping, everything... Whenver I do anything, I have to ask my dad, and, my dad is the reason my parents divorced; he was cheating on my mom, so I don't really like him... I am starting to grow alot, so I need to eat alot too, which usually results in like 4 meals a day in addition to snacks; my mom is saying she can't afford that so I usually go hungry. I am not fat... in fact, I might even be underweight; I weight 124 and am 5 foot 6! Am I in a bad living situation, or is this normal??

I want to live each day to the fullest. I want my last moments on Earth to be happy and peaceful, not remorseful or sad. I feel if I tell my family they will treat me differently. I don't have the heart to tell my parents or husband. Would it be selfish of me to pack my things and travel the world without telling anyone?

Ok.. so my teacher... I totally look up 2 him, he's my mentor and the only adult I trust or listen to anymore..

so I care alot about him... and I think its cool I have some one I can always count on

my parents don't like the guy, and my dads only met him once!! and he just said hello my name is xxxxx . My parents make fun of him for listening to me.. and I've told them a few things he's done in the class and they make fun of the way he teaches and trys to be a good guy..

and just early today they we're totally going at him and me.... and I'm just thinking!! what the heck? I look up to this guy... just because I don't look up to you doesnt mean you can't respect him and respect me for looking up to him

am I totally over reacting?.. or are they being as big of jerks as I see them as?

Would it be wrong to change my last name to my daughter's (her sperm donor's) last name? Could my husband and I do it legally without any repercussions? Her sperm donor does not have any contact (of his own free will) but he won't give up his rights. Which I don't understand, but that's another story. My husband is willing to do it, as he has no ties to his current last name. Do you think it is possible?

I'm 5'6", age 16, and 132 lbs. My mom is constantly telling me I need to lose weight. She says I'm going to be obese if I keep eating a lot and then I will never get married or anything because fat people are repulsive. this really hurts my feelings because I think I'm good the way I am. And my sister is age 19, 5'7" and 115 lbs. My mom is constantly praising my sister and often tells her to give me weight lose tips. And when people come over for dinner my mom is the worst. she will moniter my food portions and tell the people how she praises my sister for her weight and how I need to exercise more! What can I do to stop this? I've tried telling my mom I am who I am, but she doesn't care! Eating is like a disease to me. It makes me sick. Because I know if I don't do something right, my mom will disown me.

My ex husband just bought our little 5 year old a cell phone. It's one of those phones that kids can use where it will only call 4 programmed phone numbers (he programmed his #, mine, and his sisters). Does anyone else see a problem with this? Isn't she too young to have a phone?

It's not like she's ever alone and she might need it for an emergency, someone is always with her. And it's not like he's always calling her (as a matter of fact, he NEVER called her).
I'm afraid of 2 things here, 1) that he's looking for control over her (he was always controlling me) and 2) he's trying to win her over by buying her "stuff".

I wonder if I have a legal say in this? I mean, if he really wants to spend money, why not open a savings account for her education?

I'd love to here your comments on this.

My dad's wife has always been an embarassement at functions but they were always cordially invited. Lately she has been bringing up the fact that my sons father is not her biological dad when we have warned her about it and told her not to bring it up that was private, our son also told us, the last time our son and daughter wen to visit them my dads wife was mean to them, yelling, and thowing food at them. My son was upset and she insists on bribing our daughter who is 3 with candy and sweets to keep her happy. Should we invite them for Christmas or just send them a gift in the mail?

He twirls his dick while I'm trying to do my work on the computer in his room. He knows he's doing it in front of me an my brother. He just doesn;t realize that we occasionally look in his direction (My brother looks at him for talking).Im no pervert, but it is distracting and disgusting. And he has enough balls to do this yet never tell me **** on the "talk". What should I do? Here's a starter take a picture of him and embarass him in front of the community and possibly child abuse.

My brothers (16 and 15) are being abused by my uncle "Jeff". The sixteen year old one comes from an abusive past. I told the police, but they said "Jason" and "Justin" needed to come and make a statement... The problem beeing "Justin" doesn't think getting flat-out whammed is abuse, and "Jason" thinks abuse is normal.

I've seen "Justin" get hit several times, by my uncle, the one who I reported... Several times for doing nothing - he was in the living room watching TV and WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM - my uncle hit hit him with a closed fist for not taking out the trash. After talking there were other incidences, too!

I wasn't able to talk to "Jason", but my uncle hit him in the book for reading the other day, calling him quote "unworthy to read!" And he was SUPPOSED to be reading. What should I do?

I was on the phone with one of my aunts tonight (we are actually very close in age) and we were talking about her and her husband coming staying with us for a few days during Thanksgiving. They were married a couple of years ago but they usually spend Thanksgiving with his parents so this will be the first time together with us. He got on the phone and told me how he was looking forward to coming down and seeing us and I told him that I was too! Anyways, then he said something about making some of his favorite recipes - a green bean casserole and some kind of homeade raisin bread. I was totally shocked because my mom told me whenever women were present men shouldn't cook. I told him that he didn't need to do that and we would take care of everything but then he said he insisted. I don't know what to do because I don't want to be a rude hostess but I don't want to be a bad one either. It just makes me feel so weird that a man wants to cook, you know? What should I do?

My dad's been cheating on my mum for about 2 years and it's killing me and my mum! My younger sister doesn't know, i'm 17 and finding it hard to cope with it as they argue all the time and my dad doesn't feel guilty at all and sees my mum as an annoyance! I hate him but I have to put up with him doing this with a selfish bottle blond b##ch who has apparantely been shunned from her church cos of it - my dad's hardly attractive! He's 61 and she's about the same age as my mum, he doesn't see why I should care about it, he's completly heartless! How can I make him feel guilty?
