We have become astranged for what ever reason, just wondering if anyone else has this sort of problem with their mother.
I just don't understand how a Mom can ignore her kid and Grandson for no good reason.....

I ask because my sister just put her 16 year old son out, he dropped out of school, and smokes ALL day. She tried everything, finally she said if you're grown then be grown!!

I'm kinda confused though I agree with what she meant, but I couldn't imagine it being one of my kids.

What do you think...no smart answers puh...lease

Hi My mom has liver cancer that only give's her a couple of months to live! My family of 2 bro's &1 sister are completely went bonkers. My oldest bro is from AR and we are from WISC.
whitch makes it hard,it just seems that everyone is at each others throats. It's like the other day my bro from AR called my mom and was talking to her like always, she asked him what have you been doing? He replied i've been trying to get the undertakers ready for the funeral! What in the world was he thinking? he also told her that my other bro& sister was going to contact someone to sell the house! Has everyone gone bonkers? I also have to add that my mom is not right down in bed yet! Right now she can feed herself & etc...Her doctor had said that this was a very agressive cancer in her liver all's my bro& sister wants to do is fight. Yes we all had a very hard life growing up with my DAD being a child sexual molester. I'm trying to understand, mom& I are close we love Jesus very much to.

i sent my dad an email of robin williams doing stand-up. i wanted to check if the hyperlink worked. so i logged into my dads email account and checked it. upon doing this i noticed an email confirming his registration to a website. i clicked on its hyperlink to be nosey and now i wish i didn't. it made me feel sick. i.ve been crying for the past hour. i'm so angry and confused. what should i do?

My sister is trying to teach my nephew how to drive a stick. He was unable to get the car into drive because everytime he did it kept cutting off on him. My sister became so angry with him that she went into her trunk and beat him with her personal collection of whips and chains. He was beaten to a bloody pulp and forced to walk home 2 miles away. To add insult to injury she made him sleep outside in the dog cage because "she couldn't stand the site of his stupid face". I am concerned about my nephew because my sister has a really bad temper and doesn't know how to deal with her son. Whenever she gets mad with him she is always putting him out of ther house or beating him with her whips and chains. Is there anything I should say or do about this or should I just mind my own business and chalk this up to tough love?? Help please

She goes overboard on the presents every year, and some of us feel bad because we can't spend as much as she does on gifts. We have tried to tell her to please tone it down a little but every year she surpasses the year before in gift giving, then gets upset when she doesn't get all the things she wished for.---or gets something that doesn't fit quite right and she has to take back. Is this a control issue? She calls us all and asks us what we are buying each other as well, and throws in her suggestions as to what she thinks would be the best gift. I love my mother but sheesh.

Is CONSTANTLY berating my husband like he is a child.. She constantly yells and insults all of her children and her husband. Calling them names and cursing at them. It bothers me alot. My husband works hard, studys hard, and is trying to lose weight - he barely eats. He eats one meal a day and every time he goes to eat dinner with her she bitches the entire time he is eating. Today he woke up with a headache because he slept on his neck weird and she spent 5 minutes insisting it was because he ate too much the night before - he didn't even eat! There is truth in the things she says SOMETIMES but I can't stand to sit there and watch him get bitched at - worst of all - he sits there and takes it - he rarely defends himself and the worst part is I can't say anything because his Mother and I speak different languages. I understand the things she is saying to him but I don't have the words to back him up or tell her to stop. Is this right? How should I handle this?

We are adopting a 15 year old boy tommorow. I haven't met him yet but my parents have. He is from an abusive household, which I believe is his own. I really want this to work out because I'd love to have a brother to talk to (my sister and other brothers can be annoying.)

Ok I was wondering what chance do I have of gaining full custody of my 8yr old son? My situtation is my sons father has been harrassing me since I was pregnant. I gave him joint custody. He never took advantage of the time he had, and he never paid support cause he either wasnt working or he was hurt on the job. Now here is my problem in May he called dcfs on me 3times in 4 months an then put an order of protection me. It was dropped 3 days later and I didnt have a lawyer. Then at the end of his summer vacation he refuse to give him back. Then I get paper that said he filed for full or temp custody and me supervised visits I didnt have time to retain a lawyer but I showed up and the judge gave temp custody to him pending final hearing. The judge said we need to set a time that is longer than 30mins His grounds for seeking custody is I have moved 4times in 8yrs and I have had 5b/f and my son who is a.d.d failed 1st gr. Does he have a leg to stand on? I do have a lawyer.

i went to meet my bf's mom (they are white) for the first time person to person since she got back from canada.
she had invited us to a bbq so we could all sit around and talk and get to know eachother better (me and her) showed up, i noticed i was the only black person there. [well i wasnt surprised.]
i met his mom, she was really nice and all. but then she was telling me to go and eat something she said, ''can you get me a hotdog while your over there?'' and she said ''thanks shaniqua'' and turned to talk to her son, right before i could even answer. the problem is, my name isnt even shaniqua and i clearly stated that my name was Nicole. they dont even sound alike..
was she trying to be mean?

Our 4 year old son is adopted. He has been with us since he was 5 months old. His birth mother lost custody of him due to years of drug abuse and illegal activity. His birth grandmother was given an opportunity to gain custody of him but said she didn't want him (had 2-1/2 years to change her mind...this was a very slow process). The birth family knows who we are due to our presence at the court proceedings. It was a closed adoption.

The birth grandmother has called and left voice mails several times (we are listed in the book) and we have not responded due to the inappropriateness of the calls (she was slurring her words in a few and other times talked about how she wants to know her grandson and bond with him.) Recently, she CAME TO OUR DOOR and rang the doorbell and ran and there was a bag of cards and presents from her family members for my son. (we are donating to child charity) We are somewhat alarmed. We have thought of moving and/or restraining order.Thoughts???

My family just makes me wanna get away from them. I have four sister the oldest one (22) is almost like my best friendbut we never talk about our problems but were heaps tight. My next sister (almost 20) we never talk, were completely different . Then there's the middle child (17) me and her get along but not as well as she does with me lil sister (13). She has a temper she used to hit me and my lil sis when we were younger but she matured since then but she would kick my ass if i didnt do what she told me no matter wat it was. Now my lil sis is doing some stupid stuff she smokes, drinks (like every weekend), and nows she pregant. I cant understand anyone in my family and my mum is always working i wish i could spend more time with her but she's always running around for everyone else. In my family i feel like they dont know that i exsist. And i dont see my dad anymore cause i already gave up on him he treats me like **** and he was abusive when i was younger. Should i give up or not??

Okay, recently I have been having big fights with my aunt and uncle over the way I dress. They do not seem to understand that I like dressing in all black. I feel it represents me but thats a whole other story. Anyway my uncle has threatened to kick me out of the house if I do not stop wearing all this "Goth" ****. They took me in knowing my past and what I went through yet they still ridicule me for not being like them or my other cousins who are not afraid to be girly-girls. I have told them many times that i despise the color pink and no force on Heaven of Earth will get me to wear it and enjoy it! I need help finding some come-backs to throw at them when they bluntly insult me. It's starting to really piss me off and I'm thinking of getting out of the house really soon. Who cares if I'm just 14; I'll find a way. I have before. They think that I'm some unstable depressed child who cant work out her own problems. I raised myself for the past 9 years. I think I can manage right now!

My husband and I have always tried to keep the holidays as equal as possible with Thanksgiving & Christmas Eve with one side and Christmas Day with the other. We now have come across and extremely inconvenient and problematic situation. Since Christmases on my side have always been at Grandma's house (an hour and half away) that is where we do Christmas Eve, when it is our turn with them. My husband has to work at our church's Christmas Eve service until almost 7:00 p.m. then we are now expected to load up two kids (5 & 14 months) and take them out of town for approximately 2 hours to turn around and come back home for Christmas Day here. My aunt and uncle, who care for Grandma, won't budge and move the celebration to my house or my mom's here in town. What should we do?
