Your parents have loved you all your life. When you were little, they saw all of your potential, received your smiles and hugs, and dreamed big dreams for you.

Now you are older and they see you with someone who could pull you down. You say he has a job, but he also has a past. He has to prove himself for a lot longer than a few months to be worthy of their little girl. They are right. Listen to them.

Many people "front" to get what they want and then revert back to the lifestyle once they "get" what they want. In your case, your bf wants you and the job at Best Buy is a front.

Unless your bf has some mental illness, he is likely to relapse into selling drugs. If you're under 18 - your parents are responsible for you. Once you're 20 and you're sitting in a Social Services office with 2 young mouths to feed while your bf is in jail on drug charges - maybe you should have listened to your parents (and the people in this forum).

Well you don't say how old you are and if you are under 18 you can't do anything except listen to your parents .It is their house and you have no choice actually . Maybe they are right and you should listen to them . If you are close to 18 you can move out on your own and get your own place and then they can't do anything at all about you seeing him. Till then they are the boss of you.

Most parents dont like thire daughters boyfriends, think its just apart of life. they dont wanna let there little girl get hurt. i think it would also have alot to do with your age too but you havent told us how old you are.
